My first Patagonia bag, and I'm impressed. I use it to hold my laptop because it has a little bit of cushioning on the back. It's really comfortable and can be adjusted depending on how much stuff is inside.

Patagonia Lightweight Black Hole® Cinch Pack 20L

I bought it because I was looking for a durable, lightweight, and practical backpack I could stash it with my clothes in my luggage when I travel. And this backpack fits the bill perfectly. 

It's extremely lightweight but the materials aren't flimsy. I love that I can just open up the bag and throw stuff in it without having to worry about zippers, velcro, or snap-ons. I like the front zipper pocket for things I need to access quickly. 

 And I'm not sure how long this draw cord will last with continuous use. I think the cord gets rubbed through the plastic piece pretty aggressively and it might wear out quicker than its intended use. Only time will tell.

 It's (probably) similar to the laminating procedure used to make rain shells. The TPU exterior laminate adds abrasion resistance and water repellency to the pack - it will never "soak out" (but this isn't water proof since the seams aren't treated). What is will do is repel all dog and cat fur (most packs attract fur and lint like magnets) and will never get soiled by dirty floors, conveyor belts, spilled food or sodas. Literally, just sponge wipe it clean (except for an untreated bottom patch)

The Achilles Heel of the Cinch Pack (and of the 26L panel loader) is the soft fabric/mesh back panel. It is a light gray, so it will soil. It is NOT waterproof or abrasion  resistant. It's not usually visible, either, and using the TPU laminate on the back panel would make it hot, sticky, and grab our shirts/jackets

 Clever - hard to explain and visualize, but the minute you check it out in person you will see what I mean. Personally, I can stow a lighweight (but still lined) windbreaker in here without the hassles and bulge that happen with flat panel slots.

The Cinch Pack is 17 ounces, the 26L panel loader is 19 ounces. The Cinch Pack, per Paty's published specs, is 32" for carryon "personal item" measurement purposes (sum of height, width, and thickness) while the 26L is 36", which is about the maximum size for a personal item on those airline websites that publish measurements.

Good for travel, acceptable for gym/city

Simplicity is best some times. Just like the KISS acronym keep it simple stupid. I have several day packs and find myself reaching for this one every time.

I just had this backpack purchased through my company and I tried to put it on and the straps just slipped all the way to the loosest position. I spent a half hour trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and then found a picture of the bag online. I zoomed in and saw that the straps were routed through the clip differently from mine. This wouldn't be a big deal except the straps aren't made to come apart because of the little clip on the end

I was able to work the clips off and fix the straps. It took me pliers and a half hour of finagling to get the first clip back on, here's hoping for the second one

Nice bag, but factory assembly error in straps

I received this bag via my employer. I go through a lot of bags due to extensive travel. This is a nice bag but same issue another user noted where the straps aren't set up correctly so it just slips to the end very easily causing the bag to sag down my back. It isn't easy to set them up correctly due to the plastic ends

Nice bag but straps don't stay

 He loves this one and it's reasonably priced. The style is simple but very functional. Very good quality and great for a lap top. I'd reccomend this to anyone in the middle age group as the style is subtle but yet handsome

Targus Corporate Traveler Checkpoint Friendly Backpack

The fabric began to pull away from the seam, closest to the handle, after about 2 months of basic use. By basic use I mean back and forth to the office as opposed to extensive air travel. Targus is replacing it, but I had to pay for the shipping of the defective backpack and wait until Targus gets around to shipping me new one. I will probably be without my backpack for 3 to 4 weeks

Not near the quality of my old targus product. i personaly dont thing the zip thru function on this or even the high end bags is worth the space loss. main issue is that the bag was too small for my use with loss of space
