8 pounds. It'S not gon na win any comfort awards, but considering it's a packable duffel without any back padding, it's actually pretty decent. The shoulder straps are about as good as you're gon na get on a pack like this and to show you, i attached a sternum, strap from a different bag and it does help and again, like almost all these packable duffels. The black hole doesn't have any kind of back padding or air ventilation, but that's consistent

 It'S thick, durable, waterproof. This tpu coating makes it a little shiny, but it's quite a bit more flexible than fabrics with similar coatings. For example, the timbuk two bag has a tpu coating. However, it feels stiff and quite a bit more plasticky than the black hole fabric

 They don't cut corners with materials and hardware, it's rugged, durable lightweight and has a huge main compartment. I see these things all the time in the airport when i travel and if you like this style of duffel, this is likely going to be one of your go-to travel duffels and considering the quality on this thing, the price that i paid for it 129. I do have a Patagonia Black Hole Duffel, and while I like how durable it feels, the shoulder straps and harness system are trash in comparison to the Osprey Transporter duffel. I am doing a comparison of the two duffels to see which I will keep, and due to a shoulder injury, comfort and stability of the harness system are a priority.

I'm looking for a 30-35l backpack to use for daily commute by motorcycle and light travel.

 Since I'll be using it while commuting I'm looking for a durable and water-resistant bag. I don't want something that needs a cover to be water-resistant enough during light to medium rainfall. Preferably a bag that has a sternum strap, if there is a waist strap I'd prefer it to be detachable. I'm trying to get a pack that can hold gym clothes + shoes, towel, 15 inch laptop, mouse and keyboard, chargers, water bottle, headphones.

So far my favourite option is the Patagonia Black Hole 32, it seems to be a great size for what I intend to use the bag for, looks durable, solid company and the black hole line looks to be pretty popular with satisfied users. My only 'worries' are the accessibility of the laptop compartment for daily use and how water-resistant the zippers are.

Any other recommendations that would fit my needs are very welcomed or if you happen to have the black hole 32 or any of the other products from the black hole line I'd love to hear your experiences.

UPDATE: I ended up ordering the black ember forge. The expandability makes the bag so much more versatile which was important to me, the ability to hide the shoulder straps and carry the bag by the side handle makes it a better fit for my work environment, I really like the style of the bag but it doesn&#39;t make the bag less waterproof or durable and I can see myself using pretty much all of the compartments.
