8 pounds. It'S not gon na win any comfort awards, but considering it's a packable duffel without any back padding, it's actually pretty decent. The shoulder straps are about as good as you're gon na get on a pack like this and to show you, i attached a sternum, strap from a different bag and it does help and again, like almost all these packable duffels. The black hole doesn't have any kind of back padding or air ventilation, but that's consistent

 It'S thick, durable, waterproof. This tpu coating makes it a little shiny, but it's quite a bit more flexible than fabrics with similar coatings. For example, the timbuk two bag has a tpu coating. However, it feels stiff and quite a bit more plasticky than the black hole fabric

 They don't cut corners with materials and hardware, it's rugged, durable lightweight and has a huge main compartment. I see these things all the time in the airport when i travel and if you like this style of duffel, this is likely going to be one of your go-to travel duffels and considering the quality on this thing, the price that i paid for it 129. To be honest, this is a really good bag that is durable and will last a very long time. I wish I could rate it 5 stars because the bag was very comfortable, even when carrying plenty of things.  It’s a big bag and if it’s not full, would be nice to be able to cinch it tighter. All that to say, if it’s the only bag you are traveling with and you don’t need to access it on an airplane, it might be ok. I ended up returning it and am sticking with my old northface overhaul 40.

I bought this bag for a secondary travel carry on. I fly over 100k miles a year for work and was looking to replace one of my carry ons. I bring a roller bag and a backpack. This bag has a slot to attach to a roller bag so I thought it would work well

Durable but not convenient

8'L by 10.2'W would not fit in the laptop sleeve. 10' seems to be the maximum width unless you are willing to tear/cut the opening. So I ended up taking up space in the main compartment using my laptop's sleeve to protect it

 I think these guys did a fantastic job designing an excellent carry-on travel bag. If you use the guide card and the online video, anyone can learn to have a well-organized bag. Being that well organized would be a significant worthwhile learning experience for me. That will make traveling so much more relaxing

The Laptop sleeve of this excellent carry-on bag has an absolute width limit of 10 inches

 It makes it weird to peek inside of there. And In combination with this thing being super stiff, you kind of have to open it up completely, like that, to just get inside of this bag and get anything you want. It's harder to just like, quick, grab your hand in there and grab something. At The time of this review, we've been testing the Nomatic Travel Bag in cities like Joshua Tree, Los Angeles, Detroit, Minneapolis, and New York City

 The Travel Bag features a very thick handle at the top here, just to kind of grab it and hang it on stuff and bring it around. Then, you have a thinner handle on the bottom. I Kind of wish they would've just taken this padding on each side and sort of just evened it out. So, the bottom one had a little bit more padding, but the top one maybe had a little less so it wasn't so bulky

 On To some of the cons: - the laptop positioning isn't ideal for access or carry. The Duffel and shoulder strap system is a little bit clunky in practice. And The pack is seemingly trying to do too much. We Wish they simplified it a little bit and just focused on a couple of things, versus trying to throw everything and the kitchen sink into the design

 And With all of this testing, we were able to look at all those smart and conceptual features, and overall found that a couple of them didn't really work as well. in practice than they did from a logical perspective. So To wrap this thing up with the pros and cons: - for a pro, this thing is definitely maximum legal-sized carry-on. That Rectangular shape allows you to have a lot of room inside of the pack for all of your stuff
