If you want something cheaper than the Brother HL-L2325DW, get the Pantum P2502W. Like the Brother, this is also a print-only unit, so there isn't a scanner. Its document print quality is outstanding, and its toner cartridge yields a little over 2000 pages. It prints pretty quickly at 23 pages per minute; however, it takes a while to warm up and doesn't support automatic double-sided printing. Unfortunately, this printer tends to push printed sheets off the output tray, which can be inconvenient as you'll have to rearrange your prints into the right order. This issue can also cause misaligned prints, wasting more time and paper. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's an inconvenience nonetheless. If you want to save yourself the hassle, the Brother is a better choice. This model can get the job done; just be aware that you might run into some problems occasionally.

Pantum P2502W Wireless Laser Printer

 In this video I'm going to show you how to set up this printer.

 So I just got this printer and I just read the directions and set it up and it was pretty

 easy but there's some things that I should show you.

 So this is the printer you're looking at.

 It's the Pantom 2502W and so this piece comes detached and you basically have to snap it

 I thought that was a little bit difficult but not too bad and you can close it.

 The ink is in here and when you first get it you have to open this and then you take

 I've never had this type of printer before so I was kind of shocked by the size of the

 Then you put it back in and then you close it.

 Well it did last time but usually there it goes.

 It makes like a really funny sound when you put the ink in.

 And it's important that you take the ink out when you first get it because it has all of

 It's got some wrapping on it and it's got this thing which I just pulled out.

 So you're supposed to take all that stuff out and put the ink back in.

 If you want to move this you have to squeeze it.

 The power cord goes into a power outlet.

 It's going to be good enough for my needs.

 And then it comes with the USB cord which I use to connect to my laptop.

 It also has some wireless options and stuff but I don't think I'm going to be using that.

 So basically you connect it to your computer.

 And then you have to install the drivers.

 And I was a little bit worried when I saw the CD but I had read the reviews and the

 reviews said that you don't need the CD to install it.

 So what I did was I went to their website.

 And you basically go to their website, pantom.com.

 You want to go to where it says service and support and then driver download file.

 And then you just download it and install it.

 It's a super fast download and it's a super fast installation.

 So that's the one you want from the website, pantom.com.

 And then that gives you the drivers for your computer, for your printer, sorry.

 So let me go ahead and put the paper back in and show you how it prints.

 So you put the paper in and then you can squeeze and adjust it.

 So I'm just going to print the test page that it had me print after I installed the drivers.

 So here's the test page that will have you print just to test to see if it's working.

 You basically hook it up to your computer, go to pantom.com.

 And then I just showed you how to go there and get the drivers.

 You have correctly installed your pantom 2500W series on your laptop.

 Is it worth the price I paid for it? Um... if your power never goes out, you never have to reboot your wifi router, and/or you only print over a wired connection, then yes

I bought this to be a quick and easy to use, black and white laser printer. I need a printer available, and until my office gets rearranged and the new furniture put in place, my regular printer isn't available. I set this new printer up in my bedroom and read through the manual to get it set up to be available for wifi printing. (This was an absolutely non-negotiable requirement

 You can't use all the toner unless there's a way to reset the page counter, and when you do replace it, you're paying at least 50% of the cost of the printer in toner every time you have to replace it. I might just end up tossing this and getting a printer that is cost effective to operate and allows me to use all of the media.

Replacment Toner is a ripoff and the 3rd party options are too expensive as well

 $35, free shipping, that's the slow shipping. But still, you'll get a good printer. Like I said, this is going to be hooked up to my desktop, which is a Windows 7. I hope it will work
