You can record at up to 30 fps in 4k and up to 60 fps in 1080p, but it has a high-speed capture mode in 1080p that lets you record at up to 240 fps for slow-motion playback. Its autofocus system reliably keeps moving subjects in focus as well

Almost perfect, the best 4K color depth video camera (prosumer) BUT for the autofocus problems in keeping the main subject in focus. Firmware update to support 4:2:2 in 10bit color is slow and unavailable as of August 2017. Recommend gimble stabilizer even with a LUMIX IS lens.

Fuji caught up to that camera in autofocus already and everything from stills to video to features is higher quality on the X-S10. The X-S10 has IBIS at $1000 for crying out loud..

Now there are some poor lenses too, but if you are willing to pay a little more I have found all of the Panny/Leica and Olympus Zuiko lenses to be very, very good.

The size, the weight, because of the way the grip is, it's no problem whatsoever to have a lens like this. It looks a little weird with this big lens ...

We continue to recommend the X-T30 as our Editors' Choice for most photographers getting started with the system, but there are reasons for shutterbugs to spend a bit more on the X-S10.

A GH5 or G9 is the way to go for you, in my opinion. Unless you’re spending around 3000$/£ or more, full frame makes no sense - you’ll be stuck with one kit lens and you’ll need another grand to get another. In APS-C land, Canon and Nikon have nothing interesting, only the more recent Fuji X series cameras are seriously capable video cameras, but at the price point of a GH5 they’re generally inferior.

The Fujifilm X-S10 is what I'd consider a good no-compromise starting point, and that's £995 over here in the UK with only one lens. Below that the micro four thirds options start to look like better value as hybrids, e.g. Olympus E-M5 and Panasonic G9, and I'm not sure that would give you what you want by way of an upgrade from your GX80

This camera is a powerhouse for the price. Full disclosure, my first camera was a Panasonic SD camcorder back in 2005, then switched to a Canon Pro camcorder in 2009, then jumped on the Panasonic train again with the GH3 and was using them until I picked up the GH5. The image is amazing, but that's not news. What is news - and hopefully will not be overlooked - is how much this camera is amazing to use

This is an amazing little package that can give cameras 4 times more expensive a run for their money. The Lumix DC-GH5 is blurring the lines between prosumer and professional with features like 4k at 60p, 10-bit 4:2:2 recorded internally, plus many more. Future firmware updates will blur those lines even further with a 400Mbp/s bit rate codec! This is an exciting camera that will give you stunning photos and videos (admittedly more on the video side). A must own for the aspiring photographer/filmmaker on a budget
