Looking for beginner camera suggestions/buying advice

* Its lens has a long telephoto reach (480mm equivalent) which is more than 135mm will give you on that 18-135mm lens.

By comparison, the 90D is an enthusiast level APS-C DSLR from 2019. It's an entirely different (better) category of camera. Better image quality, and more "professional" in design overall.

So the DMC-FZ2000 is a one-inch sensor "superzoom" camera with a non-interchangeable lens, from 2016.

 I will still keep it, but I will never buy electronics from AMAZON again. The quality of the camera is very good, feels great in my hand (ergonomic hand and thumb holds), awesome zoom and image stabilization. Picture quality is 12mp (or less depending on format sizing), but for the cost vs. quality, it is good for wildlife, birds, etc

 This is a very good "bridge camera"... more functions then a "point-and'shoot", without having to expense up to DSLR with multiple lenses

 So I gave this camera 4 or 5 stars as a product, but no warranty drops it down to about 3 stars. Even though AMAZON posts a warranty page on the product site, the serial number on the camera would indicate the PPK model, so it wouldn't be covered. I will still keep it, but I will never buy electronics from AMAZON again. The quality of the camera is very good, feels great in my hand (ergonomic hand and thumb holds), awesome zoom and image stabilization

 The battery didn't last as long as I hoped for, before requiring a recharge. I would recommend purchasing a spare battery if you intend to shoot all day, or on a weekend hike, etc. Keep in mind that you have to charge the battery in the AC charger (AC outlet). It does not charge with a USB cable

  In the end, I found that neither the FZ300 or the FZ1000Mk2 really met my needs and settled on the FZ2500, which while still a very good camera for stills, has a more impressive video capability, even though that is secondary to my needs. The FZ2500 has a weight and size that feels better to me, the ergonomic feel more like a traditional interchangable lens camera, and it will record video only limited by battery and memory capacity.  The FZ300 is a VERY capable camera, and it is a favorite among people who shot birds. The 1/2

 I found the form factor to be a bit small for my larger hands, and didn't really care for the zoom control on the lens barrel. There have been some instances "in the wild" of the zoom lever surrounding the shutter release failing, so having a secondary zoom control is good, but this one seemed somewhat vague.  My background is a series of digital point and shoot cameras going back to the Agfa 1250. I've had perhaps 10-12 digital cameras since that time, culminating in the Sony Alpha 900, with a complete, and I mean complete, kit of Minolta lenses for that body

3" sensor gives it better optical zoom reach. In the end, I wanted the larger camera and a 1" sensor to match the Canon. so the FZ300 was returned along with the FZ1000Mk2.  That said, I did recommend the FZ300 to my son-in-law as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and I believe she will be happy with it

  I ended up getting the Canon G5X Mk2 as a new pocket camera with a better zoom range than the LX7. What I needed along with that was a super-zoom bridge camera to take the place of the lenses I was giving up with the Sony A900, and the furthest reach I had with that kit was an f8 500mm reflector..

Panasonic LUMIX FZ300

8 aperture across all areas of the spectrum is great for indoor shooting. People complain about the battery usage and drain with this camera. I say get extra batteries if one plans to use it for extended shooting.  I don't expect to use it for movies that much, but it is good to know it is there in case I need to learn it

So let's say you don't have $1700 to spend on a long zoom camera, or just want something more portable. Enter the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100. It too has a 20MP 1" sensor, but trades zoom power for compactness. Its lens has an equivalent focal range of 25-250mm, but it's a bit slow at F2.8-5.6, which makes it less competitive in terms of low light performance and depth-of-field control. JPEG quality isn't class-leading due to too much noise reduction and a somewhat soft lens.
The ZS100 has a responsive autofocus system, a 3" LCD with good touch functionality and 6 fps burst shooting with continuous AF. It also has a (small) electronic viewfinder. The camera captures 4K video that looks pretty good, with a hybrid 5-axis stabilization feature available at 1080p and below.
Overall, we like the ZS100 not because it's the best camera in its class, but because it strikes a great balance between size and focal range. And, since it's near the end of its lifespan, it's a real bargain.

Best enthusiast long zoom cameras in 2021

 and you're capturing ton images really quick which is great for action, sports, and just those crazy moments while you're out on vacation and things like that. The there's a cool panorama mode. you know we're all used to taking our cell phones out and doing that thing which is great and the image quality is pretty outstanding. It works the same way as your phone does, except for you don't have to stick to like a little line on the screen and keep it level

 So say you take a picture of you and your buddies and your faces are out of focus. Well as long as you're doing it right here on the camera, you can change that focal distance and you can actually put your face back in focus. The other main features that are selling on here is as a 4k photo mode which is pretty cool. So in the 4k photo mode you can capture up to 30 frames per second in the 4k setting which is 3840 by 2160 and resolution so great resolution

 There's a couple really cool features that this camera has that I Was very surprised with. Number one has to be the post focus. This camera has the technology built into it where you can take a photo and then that photo. You can change the focus after the fact
