The Outdoor Research Aspire II is an all-around great jacket, performing well in every aspect of this test. The design is well thought out and shows attention to detail. It has one of the most customizable fits to keep moisture from penetrating openings and includes high-end components such as waterproof zippers. The Gore-tex Paclite 2L fabric offers some of the best water resistance in this test while remaining light and flexible, without feeling stiff or restricting range of motion. We loved the Aspire's TorsoFlo venting, which runs from the armpit to the bottom hem, quickly dumping heat when fully open. 
With all the bells and whistles this jacket includes, the one design feature we found lacking was a double zipper on any of the pockets, so while the jacket actually fits into the chest pocket, we found this impractical for stowing it away as it was tedious to attempt to zip it up. This is a small gripe, though, and the Aspire offers up an impressive combination of water resistance, breathability, and comfort. We feel it is worth its higher price tag for those looking for a performance-driven rain jacket.

 I'M still doing that because i lost my air pods. They really need to come up with a system where the air pods are corded somehow to each other, so that you don't just lose them all over the place. Someone needs to come up with that on the very bottom of the jacket, there's, obviously a pow skirt, because you're going to be skiing more pow than you know what to do with take your snorkel, pretty simple, pow skirt, there's not a lot to dive into on That now speaking of both the bibs as well as the jacket, one thing to note is that it is really light, and so what i found is going to the resort. I definitely have to layer up underneath this with some pretty thick layers because being so light, it definitely does not provide a lot of warmth, tons of protection from the elements, not so much warmth

 Now i'm going to take the jacket off probably get a little bit wet, but i want to make sure that you can see the bibs clearly again. This is made from the pertex 3l fabric 100, waterproof. Something cool that they've done with the bibs is their collaboration with arcade, who actually makes really bad ass outdoor belts, so the suspenders on these. This is where the collaboration comes in now, not only are they collaborating with arcade, but the artwork that you can see on these is actually from a tribe

 I wasn't sure when i pulled these out of the package, how well they were going to hold up again, because i thought this material was a little bit lighter than other things. I'Ve tried in the past so far. There'S some marks there, but nothing is ripped. So i'm very happy with that also something that i haven't seen on bibs or pants for that fact

 So, to start with, what i noticed immediately pulling these out of the package is one how lightweight they are and two how easily packable they are. So a lot of the stuff that i have is pretty bulky and it's definitely on the heavier side of things. With this, i noticed that it is like i said, very lightweight now, it's a 40d exterior and you can see that it does have that rip. Stop pattern built into the jacket

 I go back and forth between baggy and more fitted jackets a lot. But more recently, I have opted for a smaller size for my backcountry specific jackets. This helps save weight, amount of space it takes in my pack and helps with warmth. Also with this jacket, the M size is still a good length which is important to me

I am very impressed with how thin and light the material is. This December has been especially wet in the PNW, and I have stayed dry. I did notice that the material doesn’t seem to repel water as some jackets I have had before, so it starts looking wet on the outside pretty quickly, but manages to keep the inside dry. 

— I love the strap idea and design, however they cause discomfort when wearing a backpack since they are thick and bulky metal adjusters. The connector of the straps in the back is a bit higher volume and the straps rubbed against my neck a bit, which I think was caused by the backpack pushing them closer into my body.

 This is in the perfect Goldilocks Zone, not too tight that I can't layer and move, and not looking like a circus tent draped over my torso either. I love all the zippers and pockets, there are plenty of spots to store little knickknacks that I need throughout the day in the backcountry or in the resort. I recently wore this on a wet and windy day in the mountains and it kept me dry all day. What a satisfying feeling to watch water bead right off and never soak in!

Perfect Ski Jacket

I've had this jacket for a couple months now, it immediately became my go-to shell for just about any winter activity. With proper base- and mid-layers, it's kept me dry and toasty on -25C days on the slopes. The fit is absolutely beautiful, the many pockets and vents are so useful, and I love how the powder skirt tucks in when you don't need it. Excellent jacket, highly recommend!

This Nano Puff Vest is sleek and versatile: It’s decently warm, light, packs down small, and looks the part for both casual and active use. It’s also less expensive than a comparable down vest and noticeably lower-profile.

What are the downsides of the Patagonia Nano Puff Vest? The PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation is pretty darn warm but not to the same degree as down, so this vest isn’t built for frigid conditions (it’s ideal for fall, spring, and as a layering piece). And the current model is slimmer than past versions, so you may want to consider sizing up if you’re on the border or plan on wearing the vest over bulky layers.  I'm doing some climb in with some kids coming up from. Mount Vernon in a bit I'm actually waiting for them now and excited to shoot this video and supposedly 80 degrees by the time lunch time comes around, so it's a good pass you wear this in the morning I set up the climbing equipment in the back that's wearing this in the woods and for the rest of the day when it gets warm, this thing stops right into the chest pocket there and I'm not wearing my climbing harness but if I was I would clip this to my climbing harness. So after my students leave and I'm braking on the climbing site and it's after dark. whatever

 I could just put this back on or whatever so it has a little Clippy thing if you clip it to your harness. I'm not wearing my climbing harness now but comes out real easy. Just like that it's super lightweight. Two things: Don't even wait more than a few ounces so it's really lightweight
