I am a new backpacker, trying to be as light as possible. I have put together this gear list together with the help of an REI sales person and some personal knowledge and was wondering if anyone has any input (things i need to add/remove, things cheaper elsewhere, etc..) anything would be greatly appreciated

 So, let's see, if you get what you pay for, we recently went on our summer family, vacation to Sun River Oregon, which was awesome. We did a lot of sightseeing. We did some kayaking bike riding and a lot of hiking, but we wanted to go to places that a stroller just couldn't take us most likely due to rough terrain. Even the awesome Bob stroller wouldn't be able to make it through some of these spots, and we wanted to do this to expose our baby to new things in the world

 They'Re a little too small, in my opinion, they're probably best served for storing energy gel, but not necessarily a GPS or your cell phone, or anything like that. Probably a multi-tool could fit in there, but they're just a little on the small side. In my opinion, I find that the canopy velcro sometimes makes it difficult to open and close that canopy. I just feel that it gets stuck

 It provides good visibility of the contents that are stored in there and they're located all around the child carrier. I also like that it has an adjustable sternum strap for on-the-go adjustment as you're hiking. It'S very easy to use and a nice touch. I really like that

 The last little trick I'm going to show you with this baby carrier is how to compress it a bit more when you want to store it so first of all we'll just pop the sunshade away, as you can see it goes in quite easily, it's not too much of a faff to get it in and out. Right these clips here, these are important, you must have these done up when you use your baby carrier, it basically provides the structure for the pod if you like for your baby, so they almost always must be done up, however if you want to reduce the volume of the pack to store it you can unclip them like so, they are quite tight, so there we go and then this toggle here can go into here so squeeze it together and you can just pop that through there like so and then obviously just compress this bit at the back and you'll see it's not tiny by any means but it is quite a lot smaller than it is when it's fully expanded and this pack would then fit into the baby carrier bag that you can buy as an additional accessory from Osprey, so if you're travelling on an aeroplane or something you might want to look into that just because it keeps all the straps and everything together and safe and stops it snagging in any of the luggage loading sort of systems.  Okay so the Osprey Poco Plus is the top of the range baby carrier from Osprey.

 Let's start with the stats first of all.

 So it weighs 3.6 kilos in total and the total amount it will carry, so this is the weight

 of your baby, the carrier at 3.6 kilos and any other kit you're stowing away in it, is

 22 kilos so you need to keep the weight below that but to be honest that's usually plenty

 And if you want to know the dimensions of it from a storage perspective, its height

 is 73 centimetres, its width is 38 and when it's out like this the depth is 48 centimetres.

 I'll show you at the end of the video a way you can compress it slightly for storage but

 that's the dimensions when it's all set up.

 Right, so let's get on with the features.
