  Really folks, can you make things a bit more adjustable.  I mean this pack has a rain cover, and lot of space for a 22 L bag and nice features. Just not fitting us women that are a bit fully around the middle.

 The weight in the bag helped me to make my decision on my purchase. This bag fit me like a glove. The trampoline back and straps are so comfortable. 

Great size for a day on the trail!

 Compared to my other two packs, this one's straps are extremely rough and uncomfortable, as well. I think maybe it's just not a fit for me, I'll be returning this one.

 The torso is too short, even with the straps adjusted to their highest point -- for a comfortable fit of the straps on my shoulders the hip belt sits in the middle of my waist! I agree with another reviewer that the magnetic chest strap/combination hydration magnet is not good in practice either. The magnetic enclosure is very awkward to use compared to a standard clasp. Compared to my other two packs, this one's straps are extremely rough and uncomfortable, as well. I think maybe it's just not a fit for me, I'll be returning this one

I have recently purchased the north face borealis and can recommend it. It carries a 15" laptop plus all accesories i might need; the back plate provides good ventilation as well.

I'm looking for a backpack that can

* fit a 15 inch laptop
* protects from heavy rain
* about 20-30L

Specifically I'm looking at Fjallraven's offerings such as the Kanken 17 or Ulvo 23

and Patagonia's offerings such as the Stand up Pack, Blackhole or the Tres Pack

which would you recommend?  
Im also worried about abrasive straps that might damage clothing

it seems Patagonia has good replacement policies?  


I saw the Ulvo and Kanken in person and they felt legit.  although they seem to scuff really easily (wipeable but seems like you need to wipe it often)

 Now, let's get up to the compartments, the borealis features a bungee cord system at the front, which is ideal for lashing on gear or putting in a jacket or a hat or some gloves anything that you need really quick access to. It is secured by this drawstring closure, which means that you can really tighten things up against the bag, or you can also stretch it out to fit bigger things as well, all all the loops for the bungee cord system. There is reflective detailing and the top there is a fleece liner, zippered compartment which goes down to about here and is good for a phone or some glasses. These ones little key clip here as well pop the keys on that so little front pocket with some organization in there and let's check out the main section so chunky zips on the main section, buttery smooth they just glide open, really effortless yeah, and that's something that You you really want you, don't want you zips, giving out on you, because it makes your backpack not that great

 There's a little whistle so I'm gonna just blow it. Okay right there. So it has a whistle so this is great for like hiking if you're just like lost or you just want to blow your whistle outside. You can't just like throw stuff inside I prefer to have a clamshell where you know opens up and you can see everything that you're packing

 but I think I wouldn't use her for long term trouble in my opinion. So this backpack is 28 litres and I'm about five six five seven. this is what it looks like on me that's not too big. I started to try and work out what made this bag special

I was looking at purchasing an Evergoods Half Zip 26L but while looking for reviews I saw a number of complaints about the bottom of the pack digging into people's backs while wearing it. I wasn't sure if the issue had to do with torso length or something else. If you've owned one have you had issues or not?

I currently have a North face borealis classic backpack, it's roughly 4 years old, and am finding it too small for day to day use with work. 

Just wanted to see what people opinions are of these two bags and which one is better? 

 You know the easiest task and I'll tell you, most backpacks come with a tripod carry on side and I'm very against that because I'm just thinking that it's not practical.
