Overall, I was pretty happy with everything I packed. In the future I would like to pack to the size of my mini MLC but use my Osprey Farpoint 40 for the comfort. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy (and safe) travels!

This meant I could easily grab my xbox controller or a snack without having to hoist the bag up into my lap and open the whole thing. -Comfort: Its actually pretty comfortable to wear. I took a hike with this bag on (I know - probably not really what its designed for) - and it worked out perfect. The back is as padded/breathable as you could expect, and the front chest strap helped to keep the bag tight against my chest without all of the weight being squarely on my shoulders

I wanted to like this bag, and there are some things I do like, but the laptop compartment is a huge miss for me. I was looking for a pack to take with me to Borneo for 3 weeks. I managed to almost fit (but not) everything I wanted in to it, but it was like a stuffed sausage in the main compartment and a turtle overall. The small upper pocket worked well to hold my liquids, but what the heck could I put in the two sectioned laptop sleeve pocket? There are no small compartments, just a large zippered one and a large Velcro laptop one

Zippers and pockets are well designed. Spot for my iPad. Bottle/can holders on the outside. Excellent, padded hip belt for distributing weight

Getting it on, I could not see the straps AT ALL. If I did not have a traveling companion I am not sure I would have gotten it on. I would have required a mirror. Once on the hip straps did their job and kept the weight off my shoulders

Lastly, I understand the utility of having the cinch straps on the outside of the bag but why are SUCH a pain always having to snap and unsnap them just to unzip the bag. Really wish there was an alternative to this type of design. At the end of the day though, while not perfect, it’s by far the best bag I’ve found so far for long weekend trips. If you purchase this bag I suspect you’ll be very happy

The smaller top pocket is perfect for your TSA liquid bag or throwing in the contents of your pants pockets before sending it through the x-ray machine. I do TSA Precheck so I don't have to take out my liquids, but leaving from other countries, liquids do have to come out so this pocket is handy. When leaving the US, put my wallet, cellphone and watch in the pocket so they're not in plain sight to temps any sticky fingers. The current model has more of a low key logo of just the bird and Osprey wording, not what the picture Amazon shows

I'd like to see another external pocket so I can have quick access to small electronics. I would also like to see a smaller version of this, maybe a 30-35L and have the height be less than 18" so that it can pass the Frontier Airlines' (and other low-cost carrier) personal bag restriction.
