I live in SLC, Utah and work in Tech Sales which should provide some context to the collection. My everyday carry is the Aer Tech Pack 2 which recently replaced my Thule Accent 28L that I had for about 5 years. Outside of that, the other 2 bags that I love and use the most are my Thule AllTrail X 15L (for hiking) and the Thule Chasm Duffel for all of my weekend car camping adventures.

 We spend so much of our lives going from A to B. Why not be efficient, organized, and comfortable with a well designed backpack along the way.

 The bed roll straps are a bit short and if it rains the waterproof cover sold separately will not cover your bed roll. I wound up having to carry my bedroll by hand in the rain as the straps are hidden by the cover. I guess it's ok if the bedroll get's soaked (sarcasm). Furthermore with the rain cover on it is difficult to get the pack on as you need to thread your arms through the straps but not get hung up in the waterproof cover

 You'll be more comfortable and all your stuff will remain dry.  The plus side is that this was a very comfortable pack to wear when dry and my shoulders never became too sore over the course of the day. It was easy to control comfort by alternately tightening and loosening the waist belt so that the hips take more or less of the load.

 He didn't care much for high daily mileage, the walking part of backpacking is a necessary evil in his mind to get to the backcountry camps for fishing and generally relaxing. Trying to stuff all of his junk into a smaller pack with limited support wasn't much fun, so he got a bigger pack and he enjoys backpacking much more.

My dad went the opposite direction - he started out with an "ultralight" pack (Osprey Exos 38 IIRC) and eventually went with an Atmos 65. He just carried too much stuff for an ultralight pack. How much comfort do you think you sacrificed by going to an "ultralight pack" from something like an osprey atmos 65?

 Now if you were going to be doing that, you would definitely have to be very careful with how you pack it, how much gear you take, how much food you pack things like that. So I think it's a perfect backpack for four days or less. And if you want to go more than that, you might look at having something that has an option of carrying a little bit bigger load for you. Now there's two categories that I do think are very important to test when it comes to backpacks, but it's just gonna honestly be really hard to test without giving this months on the trail

What's up everybody? I'm Eric Hanson with backpacking Tv and today I'm very excited to be doing a gear review on a pack that is one of the most popular packs on the market. Now the Osprey Atmos 65 liter pack is one of the top selling backpacks. Go on any trail and you're likely to come across somebody hiking or backpacking with this bad boy. But like pop music and elections, popularity doesn't always indicate quality

 Just knowing backpack markets in general and being a former guide, I have seen zippers that have curves in them tend to be the first thing that fails on a backpack. and that is how this design has its zipper compartment for the sleeping bag. So that gives me some concern that possibly over time that is going to be a failure point. If you just think about curved zippers, you have stuffed a lot of stuff in it

56 pounds, so the first part of the test is simply packing the backpack. Just actually putting the items where I like to carry them is going to give me a lot of information about organization and ease of access. Those kind of things that come into play for actually using the backpack on the trail. so let's load it up

What I Think of the Osprey Atmos 65L | Gear Review

 Highly recommenced! Get them before they are gone, Osprey has discontinued this model for some unknown/Stupid reason. Why you discontinue your best product is beyond me. Bring it back, and with more color/custom options! Id buy three just on principle.

Best Pack Period!

 They're really thick, really chunky, and they're all this mess material which is obviously going to allow some airflow. and you're not going to get sweaty back or arms whilst we're in. this particular pack. You've got further adjustment straps on the top just to cinch it up closer to your head and they're at the back of your neck and you've got these straps running across these shoulder straps, just the sacks, carabiners if you so wish and to secure your at the hose via water blood there so it's really bear Sat I'll moving down to the bottom of the arms

 Also, on each side of this main pocket, we have zipped pockets, one on this side, one on the other. All the zippers are really robust chunky zipper pulls. They use YKK zippers throughout and the zipper pulls themselves have these really generous loops on so you can operate them with these with gloved hands, but this is just the pocket doesn't go all the way through. it's a it's sewn in the middle there underneath, but again this will fit three cans of craft beer or a bottle of wine and each side if you so wish just to keep you company on those

 If you tear onto the side you've got a compression strap on this side and that is repeated on the other. You've got loops here and toggles for your ice axes if you so wish to carry those on the front, either sides of the pack moving down toward the base. We've again got this green compression strap and we've got an elasticated pocket for stashing water bottles or whatever you want. These are really useful in that in terms of openings, there's one in the top and there's also one in the side, which means that when the pack is on your back, you can still access your water bottle on the go and stash it back away quite easily and the looper material there just to grab it out

Osprey ATMOS 65AG - The ULTIMATE Review

 So you'd better believe I'm going to spend whatever I have to on a pack that makes my pack mule job bearable. This may be overkill for a normal day hiker that only puts on about 10-20 miles a hike. My last backpack was made for going to school rather than hiking. It sat flat against my back so no air could get in there which made for a pretty gross situation

Day Hiking Pack Mule...

Used bag one trip! Loved it packed for second trip the following weekend and the outside zipper popped off! Osprey says online 10-12 weeks hoping when I come back from this weekend trip it will be less then that! Will redo this review after dealing with Customer service

 They're much more. They're thicker, have more padding on them, and are more durable than the Osprey 58 and 48 litre packs or more light weight packs that you saw saw out on the trail. The the the storage on this is set up okay so that you have an entry at the top you have a brain here of course that then some compression straps. All right we have a brain, the brain can come off and you have a secondary a flap system here that is in place

I've got one of the one of the the female ends of the other latch out of the buckle out here. the other one kind of goes in this little little pocket and then it goes into the original strap

 So you have a brainless option here for this pack which is which is nice. The the main compartment itself if you can see here is cinched down and it's really nice at this. This is set if you grebs a little tab you pull and it will expand out with one hand On this this opening the the main compartment itself has a compression system in it. Okay to be able to do some extra compression it has a hydration sleeve and a a I guess a hook looped point to be able to keep the bladder if you will like I use the big zip I could actually keep it from sliding down further without you hold it in place which is kind of nice since I've got this turn around
