Osprey Atmos AG 65 vs Osprey Talon 33

We spend so much of our lives going from A to B. Why not be efficient, organized, and comfortable with a well designed backpack along the way.

They have lifetime warranties for fixing or replacing. A smart buy on a super well reviewed daypack.

You'll be more comfortable and all your stuff will remain dry. The plus side is that this was a very comfortable pack to wear when dry and my shoulders never became too sore over the course of the day. It was easy to control comfort by alternately tightening and loosening the waist belt so that the hips take more or less of the load.

It's usually between 100 and 140 quid and for a pack at that price, it should really come with a waterproof cover, which it doesn't so that's going to...

My dad went the opposite direction - he started out with an "ultralight" pack (Osprey Exos 38 IIRC) and eventually went with an Atmos 65. He just carried too much stuff for an ultralight pack. He didn't care much for high daily mileage, the walking part of backpacking is a necessary evil in his mind to get to the backcountry camps for fishing and generally relaxing. Trying to stuff all of his junk into a smaller pack with limited support wasn't much fun, so he got a bigger pack and he enjoys backpacking much more

* My pack (Osprey Talon 33) is getting worn. It would be good with something lighter and perhaps a bit larger. I can currently fit all my gear and rations for \~2 days. A bit more space for food would be welcomed

I can't understand why they designed a 'fast and light' style pack like this with placement of the side water bottle pockets which makes them impossible to reach while hiking. They could have added a side entrance to those pockets, as they do on the Aether and Atmos models. The tiny, weird pocket on the shoulder strap also seems pretty useless, and a waste of valuable space that could have been used for a larger, stretch pocket which could actually hold a smartphone or GPS. The hip belt pockets were decent in size, but also placed strangely far back on the belt, and extending the hip belt padding another inch or so forward would have been more comfortable as well

Highly recommenced! Get them before they are gone, Osprey has discontinued this model for some unknown/Stupid reason. Why you discontinue your best product is beyond me. Bring it back, and with more color/custom options! Id buy three just on principle.

I have a Kanken 17 Laptop bag which I use for minimalist travel. It is great at being packable and lightweight. Dedicated laptop sleeve is nice as well. It isn't the most comfortable compared to something like an Osprey Talon, but it blends better in an urban enviroment

Used bag one trip! Loved it packed for second trip the following weekend and the outside zipper popped off! Osprey says online 10-12 weeks hoping when I come back from this weekend trip it will be less then that! Will redo this review after dealing with Customer service
