Osprey Arcane Large Daypack vs Cannae LEGION DAY PACK - 21L

Other than that it is a great pack, made well and very, very comfortable. I don't carry much; a laptop, iPad, a couple paper notebooks, but this sits nicely with the soft padding. The laptop pouch is hung (sewn) to the back pad, with about an inch or two between it and the bottom of the bag, thus you can put this down *a little* rough and your electronics will be fine. TL;DR: Needs a few more organization pouches to make it into a school bag, but works well as a day hike/urban pack; great quality, comfortable, looks great

) -Hidden waste strap (Backpack's waste strap can be concealed, which is awesome since I typically use this for city use. However if I were to go on a hike, this would be the first pack I grab no doubt!) -Zippers are high quality and do not jam Lastly this is the most comfortable back pack I have ever owned. The way the straps connect over the neck before connecting with the bag helps distribute the weight over your entire shoulders. The chest buckles helps move the packs weight forward and makes it feel like the back pack is part of you and less of a bother

It’s comfortable, just the right amount of organization, excellent water bottle pocket. However, there’s one dealbreaker issue: when I pack the bag relatively empty, with just a laptop (Thinkpad X1 Carbon) and a charger, the laptop bounces all over the place when walking. No such problem on any other packs I’ve ever tried. For anyone else who EDCs an Osprey Arcane, have you had this issue?

College student using this and loves it. Protects laptop really great. Paid about $35 more for one at an "outdoor gear" store and was happy to find this on Amazon when I needed another one.

This compartment’s actual inside holds around 20L of gear, meaning you have a fair amount of room for your everyday essentials. Even if you stuff it to the brim, the bag won’t look overly bulky on your back—it keeps a nice, slim profile instead.

This has all the right features that looked for. Not "in your face" amounts of Molle, Compression straps, hydration bladder compartment/lockable concealed carry compartment, side pouches, sunglasses case, laptop compartment, tiedown straps, small organization pockets, and the zipper opens all the way down. Durable and breathes, has a stow-able hip strap, chest strap, carry handle. It takes me a long time to find things like backpacks because I need to pick the right one but this one fits the bill

The not so good: Everyone has their tastes with "minimal packs", but to me, the front, vertically-zippered pocket leaves something to be desired. It is roomy and easily swallows a puffy or rain shell, but it seems a bit incomplete. It would be nice to see a little suspended mesh pocket up top by the keyclip to keep the keys from swinging/getting tangled with other items. There is a mini divider/pouch thing near the bottom of the pocket, and again this feels incomplete

I (mostly) love this bag. After a short while, the front pocket zipper unraveled and I stopped using that pocket. I’ve owned the bag for 10 months and otherwise enjoy it’s use daily (light duty). I just sat down to attempt a repair and find that the entire Zipper is too badly frayed for stitching

I travelled to Costa Rica with it and was able to pack my Lumix camera, GoPro camera, tablet, sandals and a bunch of other stuff in it and yet it so light I carried it with ease and it fits under the seat of the plane. Great carry-on.
