 The es 110 replaces Kai's previous model issue for the es 100 and, and a really important feature on the ES 110 is that it's now got individual audio outputs, which means it works very well. If you're playing live on stage, you need to plug it into external amplification like a PA system or a dedicated keyboard amplifier, then the es 110 is perfect for that, and it has its own built-in speakers, which is nice, so make a good practice piano for at Home and it's got a good range of sounds - there are actually a different acoustic. Piano sounds in that there are classical piano, sounds, there's rock piano, there's studio, piano sounds and even a ragtime piano. So there's a few different acoustic piano sounds plus there are electronic pianos

I'd suggest not agonizing about the sound engine.   Both vendors are more than OK so in the same price points, your ability as a player is going to be more important, which takes me to the keybed, THIS is what connects your playing to the sound..

But you came here for a simple recommendation.  So you can't go wrong with a Kawai ES110.

So, latelly I've been thinking of buying a digital piano to begin learning how to play for real. I've played on a keyboard  but never really tried to learn the instrument properly, just learned some songs from time to time (the keyboard belongs to my older brother but he no longer uses it). I'm probably going to sell the keyboard so I can get a little more confortable regarding costs (and, even so, there's not a lot of room for more expensive stuff).

From watching and reading reviews, I've narrowed down the choices to two digital pianos: the Yamaha P125 and the Kawai ES110. Both of these pianos end up being the same price where I live when taking into account the wood stand and the triple pedals.

I'm more inclined to the Kawai because it seems to have a clearer  sound and a wider dynamic range (there's more variation in volume and intensity with softer or harder key presses). 

The most important thing to me is the actual piano sound. I don't really care for other instruments that may be available on the piano nor for a lot of other features that it may have. The piano is the main concern here.

If anyone can give me some reasons to chose one over the other I'd be very thankful

Entry level digital piano comparison

 Spend a few more bucks and stay away from this device especially if you are just a beginner. Btw, I had bought this device 3 years ago yet I had not used it. Such a disappointment!
