I couldn't convince myself to spend $70 on the olight S2R Baton but I wanted a nice purple light so I ordered this convoy S2 plus. The first time I ordered from gearbest but after a month or so it never shipped so I had to cancel and ordered it from AliExpress. First impressions are pretty positive. It feels well made I like the metal push button on the tail 

My Convoy S2+ finally arrived...I love it.

 With quick reacting, I yelled at the would be intruder and as he turned around I activated the turbo setting and immediately aimed it toward his face, to which he responded by immediately hiding his face with his hoodie. For fear that he may have had a weapon on him, I continued to shine the turbo onto him so as he would not have visual confirmation on me. As he left my front door he attempted to break into another building across the street to which, acting out of pure adrenaline I chased him across the street and this time activated the strobe light causing him to abandon his attempt and fled, still covering his face with his hood as he could not function with the strobe on him. Several other events occurred after this, but they would be irrelevant to this review

  Tonight, as I was returning home from on my nightly walks, I came across an individual who under some sort of influence, attempting to break into my apartment building's front door. I did not carry any of my usual EDCs with me as I only left for a few minutes to get some fresh air, but I always carry my Olight SR2 no matter the time of day or occasion. I absolutely love the size! This small light is very durable and the magnet is strong. Unfortunately the one I purchased the battery didn't last long. Only other negative I have is I wish they would incorporate a power button on the bottom. (I used it for a night fire drill and the small power on the side was annoying)

- Astrolux EC01 – fantastic value for 20 Euros shipped, but the XHP50.2 beam had Cree rainbow and a green ring I could not ignore even outside. and it was cool white and clearly not 5000k like what I ordered and what was printed on the box. So I sold it

- Brass Tool AAA – Was greedy for a good deal for my first brass light. Is CW and the clips aren't great and I am not a fan of the e switch.. Still not a bad light, but I dont like it

 Someone else sure will like the simplicty of the UI and the throwier beam. Might be good for hiking or running outside or as a car light.

I guess I'll go first.  ThruNite T1.  It's the neutral white version.  It's SO green &amp; the "Cree Rainbow" is very real.  I'm not a fan of the ramping UI either.  Ramping is too slow, &amp; there's no shortcut to the bottom or top of ramp.  Button is small &amp; stiff, and the clip could see some improvement.  I would not trust it staying clipped to the bill of a hat.

Second would be my Sofirn SP40.  It's the Cree 4000K version. I definitely would've got the Samsung option if it was available at the time of purchase. There's no glaring issues, it's just that I haven't really touched it since getting a Manker E03H II NW.  The Manker isn't as bright, but I find headlamps don't need to be.  The Manker's stock headband is also pretty bad, but I've since replaced it with one from Zebralight meant for their H5 series.

So, what lights do you regret buying?

What Flashlight Purchases do you Regret?

 It'S got a hot center and throws decently well for a light. This small, then it has this wide, fairly weak spill. Unlike the size, I generally do like a TIR style optic, because it does a good job of blend, of being characteristics of throw and spill, and unfortunately, this light doesn't have that is creer Ambo on this light, with the center being warmer and some green tint with The outsides being cooler - and you can see the beam profile here - you can see that hot center, but you have a hard time with my lights on seeing the spill. Here are my night shots for the wile

 16. 340 battery the construction of the w1 is pretty standard. The tail is magnetic, as I was mentioning before here holds on to my knife: blade rails, nice and strong. The tail is threaded here for a lanyard, but one is not added in the package

 So it easily survives the bucket water test here here is the Wow tach w1: let's do a water test and you can see it's surviving there, just fine, pretty terrible small EDC light. When I compare the w1 to some of the competition, I've gotten the s1 baton mini here next to it, I've got a full ammo of a TCC to all these. I have done reviews on and these both have all these have magnets. They want to fight each other, so I can't get them very close

 I measured the route tack w1 at six, eight millimeters in length 20 millimeters at the body and 24 millimeters at the head weight with the battery end. Clip was fifty six point three grams and the light is rated for ipx8 for one and a half meters. So it easily survives the bucket water test here here is the Wow tach w1: let's do a water test and you can see it's surviving there, just fine, pretty terrible small EDC light. Wowtac W1 Review ($19, 562 Lumen, 16340, EDC Budget Flashlight)

 Not enough retention. I lost my clip the other day with it just riding in my pocket. Guess it snagged my seat belt or something??  Where the clip stops/first meets what you are clipping to, is flush with the hex-head cap,so there is practically no way to just "slide" it into your pocket.  The on/off switch needs to protrude more or distinguish itself better that the rubber insert for the charging port

 This one checks those boxes.  The battery life is great and the lumen output is sufficient for what I use it for. The magnetic base is a huge plus! It is a pretty strong magnet.  What I dont like are the pocket clip and on/off button

Great light, solid construction, but a few minor personal issues that just weren't for me.

 Next level see out this there's the water spout 35 feet from where I'm standing a little jump there and it is faintly making 65 feet select row, that's impressive! There'S the beam on the fence. Give you a little bit better idea, nice hot spot on there pretty big, especially for something so small, I'm gon na go to the next light output here, let's see how it goes, there's a little jump. There spillways come alive, really nice wide skill area and it is faintly making that tree of life that's 138 feet. That'S pretty good, making 65 feet in a little better

 As you can see here on the side slits, there is a battery level indicator that will turn red when the battery is getting low. So now we're going to press and hold to go through those light outputs you can do it individually or you can press and hold to go through those light, outputs, that's the highest output there before turbo. You see a really nice centralized hotspot and it's a little more intense focus that is, does have a little bit of bleeding around the edges. But look at the spill area huge got a little bit of a cut off there, as you can see so now

 So that's impressive. So now, let's go ahead and open this up and I'll show you the battery that it comes with and see if I can get the spring down inside on the tail. There'S pretty heavy-duty and you've got a straight contact point there on the head that all the drivers there there is a little bit of grease on the o-ring and threads and we're going to show you the battery here. This is a 650 ml layup

 Now this is running the pre XP g2 LED try to get a different angle here, all right so now. Another neat thing this has is magnetic have really strong can support its own weight on its side with the battery which is in it. So that's impressive. So now, let's go ahead and open this up and I'll show you the battery that it comes with and see if I can get the spring down inside on the tail
