I couldn't convince myself to spend $70 on the olight S2R Baton but I wanted a nice purple light so I ordered this convoy S2 plus. The first time I ordered from gearbest but after a month or so it never shipped so I had to cancel and ordered it from AliExpress. First impressions are pretty positive. It feels well made I like the metal push button on the tail 

My Convoy S2+ finally arrived...I love it.

 With quick reacting, I yelled at the would be intruder and as he turned around I activated the turbo setting and immediately aimed it toward his face, to which he responded by immediately hiding his face with his hoodie. For fear that he may have had a weapon on him, I continued to shine the turbo onto him so as he would not have visual confirmation on me. As he left my front door he attempted to break into another building across the street to which, acting out of pure adrenaline I chased him across the street and this time activated the strobe light causing him to abandon his attempt and fled, still covering his face with his hood as he could not function with the strobe on him. Several other events occurred after this, but they would be irrelevant to this review

  Tonight, as I was returning home from on my nightly walks, I came across an individual who under some sort of influence, attempting to break into my apartment building's front door. I did not carry any of my usual EDCs with me as I only left for a few minutes to get some fresh air, but I always carry my Olight SR2 no matter the time of day or occasion. I absolutely love the size! This small light is very durable and the magnet is strong. Unfortunately the one I purchased the battery didn't last long. Only other negative I have is I wish they would incorporate a power button on the bottom. (I used it for a night fire drill and the small power on the side was annoying)

 Without the battery, my cheap at-home kitchen scale says they're wrong, but just for relative comparison, it's 36.8 grams on that scale and 55 grams, with the battery, so small size, small weight relatively, not even noticeable in your pocket. Let'S take a look at some of the output of this light, all right, we're going to be shooting from about 10 feet away from a matte black backdrop. It is uh in the middle of the day, so you will see a little bit of ambient light

 The camera settings are aperture of f4 160th of a second for shutter, and the iso is at 800. um. I just want to do we're going to cycle up from moonlight all the way to high and then jump into turbo and just see what that looks like on this backdrop, all right, so this is moonlight mode, hey there. I am and we're just going to let it cycle up and you don't really get to see it until it's on high medium starts to make a little bit of an impact on the backdrop and we're going to go into turbo, and you could definitely see turbos Filling up that four and a half foot wide backdrop completely at 10 feet, so nice amount of spill um and i i'll say that it's it's got a decent, throw too i i don't really have much room in the apartment to test that, but it's uh take My word on it: it's got a decent, throw i've now swapped out the solid black backdrop which you can still see it creeping in at the top of the frame a little bit for a solid white backdrop

 Also the FWAA is an awesome 14500 sized light with crazy output. Just be warned the button is easy to press, so when carrying it I’d suggest using the lockout mode.
