Okuma Ceymar C-30   Review

Easy!  I’d put the Okuma Ceymar up against just about anything under $100.  Fantastic piece of gear.  The C-30 being the one I’d be looking at for most mid weight applications.

Looking for a good spinning reel under $60 dollars

 I don't really rely on drag that much. I set my book and when I have the fish set, I'll open, the anti reverse and then I'll back grill and give that fish some line. So I love that location. So that's I'm happy about that

 Now I was just talking about this is ac30. You go up to the sea 35, which I thought about doing so it can hold. It'S really weird everything's in alright, so so for full from wan na can hold four pound 300 yards six pounds. 185

Okuma Ceymar Review

I highly recommend okuma ceymar reels. Really great quality for their price point. I would personally go with a size 30 reel and pair it with a Berkley lightning 6'6" medium light action pole. It's well under $100 and will catch just about everything in fresh water without feeling cheap like a Shakespeare or an ugly stik

So I've been a freshwater angler for years now. About a month ago, my car was stolen from my apartment. Haven't seen it since. In it was all of my fishing gear that I've had since I was a kid. Even if the car turns up, I doubt there will be anything in it anymore. Pretty beat up about it, but I guess it's an opportunity to try out some new gear. 

I've always tended to buy rods from the Ugly Stik line and typically Abu Garcia reels. Probably looking for a baitcaster but might consider a good spinning reel. Mainly just looking for rod/reel recommendations; I know what baits/lures I prefer, but if it helps select rod/reel then I almost exclusively throw soft plastics year round. Only the occasional jig, spinner, or crankbait. I know there are a lot of good brands out there, and I'd love to branch out on my new stuff. I know I see Lews on this sub and other fishing subs a lot. 

Given obvious current financial circumstances, I'd like to try and keep a $100 budget for the rod/reel because I also need a tackle box, line, hooks, weights, lures, a knife, etc. Thanks everyone in advance for recommendations.

Yes, we bought it used, so it's cheaper to begin with, and then also when I did my first review a little over a year ago, it's probably around 65.  I guess so that that's what model numbers are for now. this reel has I should say this correctly a 5 to 1 gear ratio and it has four bearings and it's made from aluminum so it feels really light. and I also used bread lines so yeah I like I like fishing with bread line over nylon because yeah yeah, just more feeling with the fish but my preference is breaded and I think I used over 120 meters so that's plenty enough for like small fish even for big pike. I think 120 meters is enough I've been using and using a reel for like a couple of weeks now

Now since you're looking at this video, you're probably wondering if you should get the Shimano Sedona 2500. but is it worth your money now? by no means I'm a professional, but I would like to share my experience using this reel with you. Nonetheless, always liked Shimano when it is in cycling or in fishing Shimano generate livers. Really good product and what struck me about this product was the the colors and real just looks amazing

If you're in the market for a mid-budget reel and you're thinking, what are my options, well let's take a look at this reel and see if it's the right option for you right after this. So let's take a quick look at the tech spec on this reel. It has a 5

 Okay, so I've covered the tech specs. I know I've brushed over them quite quickly, but what I need to do is get this reel and test it properly. And when we test our reels, we don't just give them a quick wind and say oh yeah, that's really good in a few casts. You know we take them out in the field and we absolutely hammer them

3 to 1 retrieve ratio. It's 3 000 inside so it's an ideal reel for those looking at lure fishing, light fresh water fishing, and just the occasional use if you you know, chuck in small baits maybe one or two ounces in and around the shore. Shimano Sedona. Is this still the best mid budget spinning reel in 2021

 Undoubtedly this new Shimano Sedona Fl reel was cheaper to manufacture this way, but I could not get used to this missing feature. When you have a tough fighting fish, that threatens to break your line, fumbling to loosen the drag should not be your only option. The marketing specification description does not mention this. I have an older Sedona, which I use almost every day, and it does have this feature which has now been omitted

I have been fishing for 65 years. In all my years, having owned many spinning reels, I have never come across a spinning reel without a toggle switch to release the spool. Undoubtedly this new Shimano Sedona Fl reel was cheaper to manufacture this way, but I could not get used to this missing feature. When you have a tough fighting fish, that threatens to break your line, fumbling to loosen the drag should not be your only option
