Your advisors is basically kind of like your hand of cards, and you can have up to three start the game with one you can always for a free action play it face up, turn it around, and now you can utilize whatever the particular power of that card

 You'Re gon na need money, so you you can learn it and i did and it was fine. You know just sort of being taught the game without going through that system, but you don't, then see you know three or four sort of ideas that are the general what they are suggesting. Well, you know here's what you could do you could do it this way. You could do this, you could do that

 They'Ve got this alternate win condition which is in purple at the bottom of all of these kind of oaths that you might potentially be playing in that game, and so it gives them uh, potentially a chance to strengthen their position because they're kind of sharing warbands with The chancellor, but it also does give them a different way to win whenever it might trigger a win for the oath for the chancellor. If the citizens have fulfilled that secondary condition, they would win instead of the chancellor.  That can be blank. One two or multipliers become exponentially more scary. The more that are rolled and attacked ice can be impotent just right or so chunky that they have. You offing your own troops, so those are the actions of oath and on paper, they sound kind of unremarkable sure there are clever little twists and they're all done under these weird victory conditions, but what makes them sing? What makes them special the way that i've explained? Those actions in that order sounds like a pretty typical war game, but those actions are not that and oath is not one of those games

 Sat around the table, so alliances get strung from game to game so far so neat, but the real star here are the tweaks to the deck because of what they mean within the future of your copy of oath. At the end of the game, the winner chooses the suit of one of their advisors and filters in new cards of that suit into the game. They'Ll also put in a couple of other stragglers and then gather up all the cards from the losing players and slide. Six of them into the dispossessed: well, they might as well, have been put in a history bin

 You are the agent of the actual change, not sending faceless people to do the battle in a far-off land. You stake your claim personally, the metagame and the game are won, but, unlike the king's dilemma, none of this narrative is offered. It all emerges from the board and through people through the players through their relationships between games and their knowledge of the history that came before them. This is where oath shines in ways that are broader and more glittering than even the remit of this review

Monthly Board Game Bazaar - (April, 2021)

 What I've found is that the deep decks and random dice rolls make for a wildly different experience each time. I'm sure there are mechanical steps to follow for better chances of success in each scenario but no plan is foolproof on this unforgiving island. I found myself literally laughing out loud as my (as I perceived it) excellent planning fell apart before my eyes in multiple run throughs. I've won once so far and it was quite gratifying

  As a co-op, I've heard this game is particularly hard to run through when one person has more experience than the other players - I think my biggest advice for those players is that its probably best to take a back seat and let your companions fall flat a few times as they learn what to be concerned about.  Bottom Line - I'm a huge fan of the theme, and the gameplay, but this is not a game for those who want to win more than they lose.

 If the kids are less concerned with winning the game and more interested in a story of struggle/survival then no problem but I feel like some will get discouraged before ever experiencing the joy of success. It would be best for you to have a facilitator to help and almost narrate for the kids if you are playing with ones on the younger side. Laughably hard, great as a solo game, great replay value

  Pros: - Good balance and much fun for two people - Replaying capabilities are huge, a lot of things depend on Holy Random - Nevertheless, Strategy is really important, can't win the game simply doing your chores, need to plan a lot. - You win like 1 in 5 times for each scenario  Cons: - You win like 1 in 5 times for each scenario - Balance (in terms of food and resources) can be rather hard (if not broken) for more than two people - You always feel like you are about to win this set, but you lose in the last round.

robinson crusoe game

 My children 11, 7 and 6 love this game but would not be able to play it without an adult to help guide them along. For those who like team games this is a must.

Best co-op game EVER!

  Personally, I am enjoying playing it to analyze the many things wrong with it. Shame, because it’s a beautiful game, otherwise. I imagine the cynical designer/s thought they were clever and had a good laugh at coming up with the relentless setbacks making it so impossible to achieve the goals and win the game. It is actually just lazy game design and a nose-thumb at the consumer

 The rules are heavy and the game is nearly, if not utterly impossible to win what with one disaster after another. All the adventure cards are bad except perhaps one per deck. If you roll the dice and manage a victory, you may have to re-roll that victory and also get another damaging card! There isn’t time to build most protective items to get ahead as you are constantly being deluged with negative events, bad weather and other misfortunes while also attempting to accomplish the goals. After initial interest in the theme and artwork, the game is so punishing that I think most anyone would become frustrated and angry, toss it onto the bonfire

This game was designed to be a losing proposition.
