I got a queen size and was able to get it out of the box and on my platform alone (not that it was easy) and I'm a 58 year old woman. This mattress was so comfortable from the get-go -- not too hard, not too soft, just right! In the heat of the summer, I found it to be hotter than my old mattress despite my central air conditioning, but at the suggestion of a friend I purchased a bamboo mattress pad for $100 and that solved the problem. I have two herniated discs in my back from an injury in my 20s and I find it very comfortable. It's a very thick mattress so it is a little higher than I would have liked (I purchased a metal platform); however, I like that I can store four large storage bins underneath so I am living with the height

-We like a responsive foam that you can change positions without getting stuck in mattress, but also want to be cradled a bit... So some sink in is good

You and your wife are too far apart in weight and worse yet she sleeps on side, needs a softer bed. You sleep on back and stomach, so you need something on the medium-firm/firm side.

Tuft & Needle may just be too firm for me. :( I cannot return it because I purchased through Amazon and the 30 day trial has passed. I want to love this mattress, I think the company has the right idea and is reasonably priced. So at this point, for me, it is an acceptable mattress at a reasonable price

TLDR: So-so comfort, too hot for us. Just okay. Like many folks, I did my fair share of research prior to purchasing a new mattress. The thousands of positive reviews convinced us to give this mattress a try, plus I was impressed by the reported excellent customer service and ability to return it if it didn't work for us

12)Costco Novaform ComfortGrande. This was bought by a friend recently. He said it had a new bed smell.

I just got a Tuft & Needle Original queen mattress. Buying and unpacking experience was just fine. Good ship times, easy to get set up, didn't take long to 'plump' out.

This mattress has features that help you keep the mattress fresh and clean smelling. It starts with a removable, washable and stain-resistant cover. It’s treated to resist bacteria and mold. It is made to stay cleaner longer

Also the new one, in a complete 180 from this standard one, smelt like a chemical factory when unpacked and still has a scent today (though much less). That was disappointing. Also it's supposed to be cooler than the standard and seems to be warmer. Not the best start for $400 more, but time will tell
