This is one of my favorite powder skis for those days that are a little bit denser out there. Because it has the metal in the construction you can really power through that denser powder

 It does have a single sheet of metal and unlike its old predecessors where it had two sheets, that reduced the weight and made it a little bit more approachable, making it less fatiguing throughout the day. Never takes away from the performance though, it's definitely still a powerful ski that can take you in the woods, powder and on piste.  Hi skiers, Allie here from SkiEssentials.com with our 2023 ski test. In front of me I have

 Nordica's Santa Ana 104 Free that they came out with a couple years ago. It's a great

 addition to their Santa Ana lineup and really completes the series. With a 104 waist width

 it really is designed to be an all-mountain ski that can hit the powder but it also is

 a great ski for those cruddy days. It has a light powder or softer snow. Construction-wise

 it's the same as all the other Santa Anas with a nice wood core with carbon in the construction.

 What that does is it makes it lightweight and responsive under your feet but then they

 add their terrain-specific metal on top which actually adds the power and the strength to

 the ski construction. The terrain-specific metal gets a little less ratio to width in

 this 104 where the narrowest width ski in the lineup Santa Ana 84 has the largest ratio.

 What that does is it reduces the weight and it allows for a little bit more torsional

 stiffness and forgiveness in the turn but again when you're going to that 104 waist

 width you're already getting a little bit more torsional stiffness just with the width

 of the ski. It also includes their carbon tip or sorry true tip technology which is
