It did fine on groomers but if you're going to be skiing mostly on piste I would consider looking into better options. Within Volkl's line, the Secret 96 is much stiffer and has better piste performance while still being able to handle all but the deepest softest stuff off the piste. Handles the crud amazingly well- will blast through anything while still not being an overly demanding ski with the newer construction. The older Secret 92 is a different story

I'm looking for a new pair of all-mountain skis for this season, and have narrowed it down to the Line Pandora 94 and Völkl Blaze 94. They seem pretty similar in terms of specs/performance, but I much prefer the look of the Pandoras (really dislike the Blazes' colors/design). I'm a little worried about the Pandoras' quality; I've read that some other people have had issues with their Line skis delaminating after just a few days, and I'll be bringing these skis with me to France for a month-long ski trip, where I'll be skiing \~20 days. I'm not an aggressive skier, and don't do any park skiing, but I don't think I'd be able to get quick warranty service while there, so that's giving me pause if there are any quality control issues. 

Does anyone have experience with either ski? And specifically, does anyone have any insight on the quality of the Pandoras/Line skis generally? Thanks!

Shape of the ski, it's a groomer ski, it's a frontside ski, can be taken in the woods, trees, 9200 ways you're going to be able to hit the crud in a little bit of powder and have some fun, but it's definitely a hard charging groomer type ski. I actually own this ski, love this ski, and I use it, I'm an ex-racer. I think it alludes to someone with some classical training who really likes to get their skis on edge and fully go from tip to tail through their turns

 In general, it was noticeably grippy, had a good amount of rebound, and was easy to execute wide, arching turns. I did find the ski a bit more difficult to maneuver in tight spaces—short, tight turns required much more effort—but it nevertheless was a great all-around match for the firm snow that we encountered most of the week at Crested Butte. All in all, the Secret was reliable and consistent across a wide range of resort conditions—from light powder to chopped-out snow, crud, and even icy patches—and I never had the skis chatter out or feel unstable underfoot. Soft Snow (Powder) Performance COVID-19 cut our testing short, so I wasn’t able to take the Secret into true powder conditions (it was a bit of a dry spell with very little fresh snowfall during our week at Crested Butte)

 Those who live in areas with a lot of powder might want to step up to a wider option (there's a Secret 102 available), but the Secret 92 strikes us as a great match for advancing intermediates to expert riders in places with moderate snowfall.  One shortcoming of choosing the cheaper Atomic Maverick 86 is that you will notice more chatter and a looser feel at high speeds (although not nearly as much as a true beginner ski). The good news is that all seven of the skis above are designed for hardpack and will perform admirably on ice for their price range.

 Despite the relatively wide 17.9-meter turn radius (for the 170cm version), the Secret 92 was also happy to get on edge and transition in and out of turns with little input. In general, it was noticeably grippy, had a good amount of rebound, and was easy to execute wide, arching turns. I did find the ski a bit more difficult to maneuver in tight spaces—short, tight turns required much more effort—but it nevertheless was a great all-around match for the firm snow that we encountered most of the week at Crested Butte

 This is a great all-mountain ski. I'd say probably 50-50 on-to-off trail ratio. It's a pretty beefy ski. It enjoys really high speeds especially with all the fresh snow we got last night

 It's really, really easy to float right through it. It's got carbon tips so it makes a little bit of a lighter weight feel for being a little bit of a beefier ski. With this full sidewall, you still get really great precision and grip and edge hold on those turns. So, I'd say this is a great advanced to expert ski

Volkl's new Titanal Frame Construction uses Titanal reinforcements along the perimeter of the ski in front of and behind the binding platform that add power and stability without adding any extra weight to the ski. Carbon Tips lower the swingweight and improve maneuverability as well as improving floatation in the deep snow and reducing tip rattle when you start picking up some speed. Moderate Taper in the tip and tail prevent the ski from feeling grabby when you are ripping through powder, crud or bumps. Full length vertical sidewalls improve the edge hold on those not so soft days. Volkl's Multi-Layer Woodcore is packed with energy and stability, even when you are skiing your fastest.
