To be honest, this is a really good bag that is durable and will last a very long time. I wish I could rate it 5 stars because the bag was very comfortable, even when carrying plenty of things. Unfortunately, the zipper pulls were the biggest factor in me returning the bag. The zippers were just very annoying to deal with

Um, the zipper goes like this. in kind of a horseshoe pattern. I have mine. it's got two zippers

It’s a big bag and if it’s not full, would be nice to be able to cinch it tighter. All that to say, if it’s the only bag you are traveling with and you don’t need to access it on an airplane, it might be ok. I ended up returning it and am sticking with my old northface overhaul 40.

The size is perfect and it doesn't look super tactical which is a huge bonus. Other than those few things it's a great bag for an EDC and a great option to consider.

I think these guys did a fantastic job designing an excellent carry-on travel bag. If you use the guide card and the online video, anyone can learn to have a well-organized bag. Being that well organized would be a significant worthwhile learning experience for me. That will make traveling so much more relaxing

If you're looking for a sling to carry a laptop I would go with the commuter sling instead. My 14" Lenovo x1 Carbon ThinkPad is pretty small and barely fits. I usually just keep a tablet, a few notebooks, and a minimal amount of EDC gear in the bag, so it works for me. The grey plastic strap hinge makes me nervous

I am bringing it to New Zealand and will update review after the trip. It's extremely practical and comfortable -- the hip straps make this the best you can find. I had considered the Timbuk2 Wander Pack, but the lack of hip strap on that one was the deal breaker. Your back will thank you

I'm gonna be buying the larger commuter version of this bag for when I need more room than the transit bag has. I own a couple patagonia bags as well as 5.11 tactical and I much prefer this vertx over all of them.
