The fryer has a vent on the top that expels hot air, rather than ejecting it from the back of the device, as many air fryers do, meaning you don’t have to ensure so much free space is left around the machine. During cooking, the AF100UK registered 60db on our decibel meter, which is equivalent to the noise a dishwasher makes mid-cycle. While not the loudest air fryer we’ve tested, it’s not the quietest either; that said, the fryer is only noisy for the duration of the cooking time, and for most dishes that’s around 20 to 30 minutes.

the numbers for cooking time are rubbing off from normal, hopefully gentle use (not like we are trying to deface the lable). our first was a gormia from costco. all of the handles are plastic so have to be careful with heavy loads as the gormia handle broke and replacement parts are not available (seems true for this unit as well). i do like the larger size (10” square pan|basket is great for bacon and larger roasts)

I hate that they make you preheat etc. This is to me, the chef's choice in that you have control to simply cook the way you want. I liken it to a gas range ( you'll get that if you really cook). I've had Phillips which is a total waste of money, Cosori, Instant Pot (do buy their pressure cooker though!!!!), Paula Deen (size is great but that finish is terrible, will get sticky on you after a couple of months regardless of care)
