 The heel of the Pegasus 37 just didn't seem as snug; I felt it slipping up and down with every step. Took 'em out for a spin around the block, on concrete and some unpaved roads; based on my experience, couldn't recommend for long runs. I'll stick with my sturdy Pegasus 34's. Donated the 37's to our local homeless shelter

Longtime fan of Nike Air Zoom Pegasus so decided to give this version a try. The style of the shoe compares favorably with its previous iterations but that's about all I liked. Pegasus 37 boasts "improved technology" in that it's a lighter-weight shoe with an enhanced footbed and low-profile heel design. I'm sure these changes will suit many wearers but I found the lightness oddly uncomfortable, as though my feet weren't really secure in the shoe

The Good, The Bad, The Upgrades

 So, even though it did swing over to that cushiony side, that's what people are wanting, that's what people are using for their race day. So all the shoes are swinging over there. I know it's just I'm gon na change yeah, but do I like it? I think overall, yes, but it is a cushion more built up right. I don't want call it clunkier, that's kind of hot

 I can't quite put it in like that best so far, category definitely solid. For me, it's about what I expect a different Pegasus, not necessarily a better one, and that's ok. I think it's someone who loves the older style, the whole lot online. A whole lot in stores you know Unseld and if they want something a little more cushion for the pushin, I think this new one is definitely way to go, so I don't mind that it's there's enough reason to want this

NIKE AIR ZOOM PEGASUS 37 | A HONEST REVIEW (2020)

 You know throwback to Bill Bowerman and the original Nike, so this outsole tread pattern very reminiscent of a waffle iron. It'S just I just love it. I love it and a very large decoupled groove through this outsole and, frankly again, I think I love it. Just gives a little bit of I don't know just a little extra, I'm gon na say almost a little bit of a trampoline feel if you're, especially if you're a heel striker

 Okay, so now you know the weight in my size. We did it, we did it, we did it before the vlog was over, so that is cool, ok onward and upward the vlog might be over. It might not be over if it is over roll. The outro do woo

 So it did fine on the dirt um. You know buffed out trail type of running, so here we go full react, foam through the midsole and now an air bag, so a little air pocket underneath the forefoot and remember what I mentioned outside the couch, I'm actually not too upset that Nike sent me a Ladies version, because now I can do a cross test between I will, I will get the men's version might even arrive today stay tuned. I can do a cross test between the psi. Alright, the pounds per square inch in that air bag under the forefoot

 That is because this upper is a game. Changer huge update to the Pegasus lineup again not going to turn this into a running shoe battle, but like oh man, so much more breathable. So much lighter. I actually didn't mind the fly wire cables from previous iterations, but now they have replaced the fly wire cables here through the eyelet chain that wraps over the top of your foot

Finally, stay away from your small time stores if price is make or break for you. Yes, investing in your community is a noble thing; but if price is your key factor, avoid your local Run Mojo. Big stores like mine could afford to take a hit to get some shoes off our shelves.

I'm using the same running shoe model for over a decade, replacing my pair every time I need to a newer of the same. Do you think there's a major difference between buying the same shoe model of 2019 versus 2020 in terms of material deterioration and the effect of time on the shoe? 
I'm talking about buying a new, never used pair of shoes from the official vendor.

Obviously the older model is cheaper (considerably) and given that I cant try them on (covid) should I take something else into account? Not worried about differences in tech between the years, but rather shelf life

Shoe shelf life - is there a reason not to buy last year's shoe model?

 Being in motion with these shoes feels great but standing in em does not. They have an odd design suited for running but not standing. Along with a really out of place tie station, that curves to the sides of the foot. All in all I don’t hate em but I’m not crazy about it, especially considering the price

For running, but not gym wear.

 It feels great underfoot. I just love it in the Pegasus 37 nike decided to get rid of all the old foam and just used react on this shoe and it's much lighter it's much more responsive and it's softer not only that but nike also added a top loaded, forefoot zoom unit, Which is twice as large as any of the zoom units in previous Pegasus models. However, it's Justin four foot. In my opinion, this combination of react, foam and forefoot zoom is the perfect combination of cushion impact protection, softness and ground feel it just feels incredible

 The full length react midsole and forefoot zoom unit. This midsole is plush. It feels great underfoot. I just love it in the Pegasus 37 nike decided to get rid of all the old foam and just used react on this shoe and it's much lighter it's much more responsive and it's softer not only that but nike also added a top loaded, forefoot zoom unit, Which is twice as large as any of the zoom units in previous Pegasus models

 I didn't even notice. It was gone, at least when it was on my foot, the lace loops, at least on this colorway - have sort of an iridescent purple look to them, which i think is kind of interesting. The laces themselves are flat and come in black and weave over this very thin textile mesh tongue. Moving inside the peg 37 you've got a pretty well padded sock liner, especially around the ankle area, and then you've got a relatively thick foam insole with the bright green mesh cover as for sizing and fit the Nike Pegasus 37 does fit true to size

Nike Zoom PEGASUS 37 Review & On Feet

 It'S not too deep, but it's deep enough that I feel, like you, probably get a little bit of extra feeling of spring and cushioning because of that worth noting, at least in my opinion, because the cutout is a lot deeper than the previous version. As I already mentioned that dual layer upper is really nice, the outside is a decent material and the inside feels really good on feet. Honestly, it feels pretty good without socks. Do I wore them without socks and they feel pretty good? I would say the next Pro is no more fly wire

 It feels like nice. It'S a little bit more flexible for the toe off. I guess I think overall, this has been a great step up from the 36 s, at least for my type of feet, because I, like added comfort and the added cushioning of the sneakers, some people that lack the firmness of the Pegasus historically might not like the Shoe at all, because it might just be too much react. Part of me thinks that they should have done a Pegasus line with react and Pegasus fine without similar kind of to what they did with the Pegasus turbos, but in a different way, like I feel, like they're gon na alienate some of their really true

 Just mix the label on the box and say men's size-nine women's size 10.5. But I feel like more of a universal size. Anything would just make more sense in this day and age anyway, overall thoughts on the Pegasus 37

 They didn't do fly wire on here. They actually did some fusing material for the laces. As well with some reflective like iridescent sort of hits to it, I think they're reflective at least, but they might just be your Destin. You also do have some iridescent look on the midsole down here, but then you have a few swoosh on the side of the shoe, as well as on the back part here and a little bit more fused material on the back of the heel

 So i really like that part about the shoe, but it does make running in these shoes, not that great and since there's a ton of exposed rubber. These are not going to be shoes that you're going to rope climb in. I didn't do any rope climbs in them last year because we were in the middle of a lockdown and i didn't have access to a rope, but other people that had messaged me had done rope climbs in these and lo and behold it ripped a chunk straight Out of their shoes, so do not do rope, climbs and free metcons. It'S just not going to work for you

 If you wanted a flexible training shoe, the free metcon 4s are going to be it. These are very, very flexible training shoes, and for that reason alone i like them also that they're lightweight they're easy to do plyometric movements in your body weight workouts. These are going to be excellent for box jumps. Burpees are very comfortable to do you have this toe bumper that helps you get up for

 So who would i recommend these for uh somebody? That'S looking for a shoe to do like lighter weight, metcons somebody! That'S not really looking to lift all that heavy uh or they just want a more flexible shoe to just work out in. I personally think that these shoes are pretty comfortable they're, not the softest most plush shoe that you could get, but i wore these up to sequoia walked around in them for like three days straight, and i found that they were comfortable. They were good for trails. I really couldn't complain and i really actually like the free metcon 4s they're, not in my opinion, the greatest training shoe or even remotely close to the greatest training shoe, but they're a shoe that i actually like, and i think that for me i would wear these Casually and for lighter training sessions - and i think that they would actually be a pretty decent travel shoe, because you can really do anything in these

 Burpees also protects your toe from jamming into the ground. When you do burpees box jump rebounding is comfortable as heck to do. In these shoes i actually did some sprints in these, and i felt like i was stable throughout my run, i didn't feel like i was tripping over. I felt like the power delivery and responsiveness was excellent from these shoes and i didn't really notice the clunkiness from the heel that i do notice when i'm doing like longer slower runs
