You can use this for all sorts of different distances, all sorts of different speeds, as i said earlier on, it really is what i call a daily shoe, but it can just have that little turn of magic where you want to get out there and say right. Here the same that you see in the rc elite, their flagship model, no carbon footplate in this shoe, as you can see, is not uh stiff, like the rc eliters. This is very much a road shoe. Yes, as always, we have taken this onto some light trails, but very much at home on the road

THIS SHOE IS ALMOST PERFECT! New Balance Rebel V2 HONEST REVIEW!

 Since then i haven't any problems um with the fit as it is. I don't mind the fit of the shoe too much, but there's definitely skype to go half size up uh around the rest of the shoe in the mid foot and the heel you get a nice solid, lock down fit no problems on any of those fronts. So i've done a 75k of running in the rebel 2 and it's a shoe, i'm still not 100 sure where i stand on it really threw me from the start. You know coming into the rebel shoe with this big stack of you know: nice springy foam

 This is now kind of a mesh with a separate tongue um, and it's got this kind of offset lace design. This lovely black line that comes into the middle there um and then it's got a decent amount of padding around the heel. Here, i have to say uh for a shoe that weighs 200 grams. This is really quite plush around the cushion here, there's a good amount of cushion, which does kind of point to the fact that this is a shoe

 My uk size 9 weighs 204 grams, which is 7 ounces kind of on the nose. I weighed it a few times it kind of hovered between kind of 200 grams and 204 grams. Whichever of those it is, that's a very light shoe for considering how much foam it's got here. Uh, it costs 120 pounds in the uk or 130 dollars in the us, and it has a six millimeter drop from heel to toe it comes to design

 The kind of black sections here are harder wearing so kind of key impact zones. Heel strikers like myself here or maybe around for your toe off at the front there um but yeah, they look quite durable to me. They'Ve come up and they've actually done a decent job of gripping in a good range of conditions. For me, during my run testing so yeah within your outer's range, it obviously comes in as a carbon plate free fast trainer, versatile trainer, as opposed to things like the tc, which are much more expensive

New Balance FuelCell Rebel v2 Review: One of the best daily trainers?

 Yeah this, this that's probably good yeah. This feels really great. The heel counter is about perfect in it just the open airiness of this mesh. It'S like like this is a screen door like your foot is, is gon na be able to be nice and cool on this shoe the one weird thing about this upper is the tongue

 New balance does say that this is their most bounciest responsive, type fuel cell iteration. Yet the other thing they did is they dial back? If you can see it has like a wing off to the side here, and you can see the exaggerated geometry, if i hold it up here, it kind of swoops out on the side they kind of tame that down a little bit, but it still has what's Good about that and what that did was, as you land went through your stride, it rolled you off your toe a little more easily, so you get that fast feel calming it down, bringing it in putting it on the softer foam. It just really creates a phenomenal feeling underfoot robert you're ready to weigh it. Aren'T you yeah, i mean i just the scale sitting there

 After just 180 miles, the mesh on the inside of my left foot started to split, noticeably decreasing the comfort of the shoes and making them pretty much unusable. Really disappointing for a $130 shoe.

This was, at first, a great shoe but the upper was not well made and began to have issues almost immediately. The mesh that made up the lower half of the upper clearly was not up to New Balance's usual standards (I almost always get 300+ miles out of NB shoes). After just 180 miles, the mesh on the inside of my left foot started to split, noticeably decreasing the comfort of the shoes and making them pretty much unusable. Really disappointing for a $130 shoe

Ideally, I would recommended a rotation of plated and non-plated shoes if you are taking running seriously, ideally the Rebel V2 and the Endorphin Speeds being the most complimentary pair.

As for the prices, 12.12 is a good time to consider! But NB Singapore is having a very good discount on the Rebel V2s. As for where to try them on, you can Google where to find the brand shops; the only trouble I might forsee is finding the Saucony Endorphin Speeds.

I like going on light runs around the city, and it’d be nice if the shoes were comfortable for walking as well. There has been a similar post, but it’s an older post and I’d really appreciate some more suggestions!

Shoes with Low Tongue

While these shoes are very soft and bouncy, my size 13 were too small on the lateral aspect of the toe box. I have numerous pairs of New Balance shoes and size 13 normally fits me great. Would advise stepping up a shoe size when purchasing this pair.

 It's one of the more popular stability running shoes in the Brooks range and it provides stability using guide rails. They sit at each side of the shoe, you can see them there and they act a little bit like the bumpers at a bowling alley and that means that if your foot doesn't really roll at all when it's landing then the guide rails are not going to get in the way of the way that you run but if it does roll one way or the other the guide rails are going to kind of prevent that from happening somewhat and this is particularly what Brooks say, it's particularly important to try to avoid knee injuries. Now the other stability feature that I always mention is the heel counter. It's a pretty solid heel counter in this shoe, mainly internal but there's a little bit of external element to it there as well and you'll find that in stability shoes it's going to keep the heel locked into the shoe and it does that really well on this shoe

There is this other thing here which is new on the 21, I don't know if you can see that but I'm not really sure of the purpose, whether that's adding any, it's a bit squishy, whether that's adding, it's on both sides, whether that's adding any more stability I'm not really sure, I'm not really sure what it's for at all actually to be honest but there you go. Now the midsole on this, they have changed it in this model, they have used their DNA loft midsole all the way through from heel to toe and they say that that helps with the whole transition

 A quick mention to the weight of the shoe, now this is not trying to be a lightweight shoe, most stability shoes aren't. They have managed though to knock a few grams off of the weight compared to the previous version of this shoe. Up on the screen now what my size weighs, now I'm a UK size 11 so just bear that in mind and as I say yeah not lightweight by any means but at least they have reduced the weight slightly from what it was last year. Now the GTS stands for go to shoe and Brooks are basically saying you can wear this shoe for any of your runs so you could wear it yes for shorter runs for the 5k park runs for your 10k's but for me this shoe works best for half marathon distance or above or and whether you're doing a race at that distance or just your long runs
