Great product, saves me time and headache!

 It comes with the standard little USB cable which is interchangeable with any other you might have, but this one has a little nearly gone and also comes with a spare ink cartridge. These are a standard cartridge type known as D1 then not manufactured or sold on you, but any you find should be compatible. although Neo does have a list of recommended ones from specific manufacturers which you can find our website. The pen needs charging when it arrives and the red light here indicates that is charging

 We essentially bought this as an alternative to a graphics tablet, which we may still get in future Anyway, their pen arrives in a sleek, minimal box, definitely taking some cues from Apple in terms of presentation. The form factor of the pen is totaling like an orb, and most of the other options out there are definitely on the chunkier side, so it's great to feel as it does. Their build quality and design is very good. It's a nice object in and of itself and doesn't look or feel particularly like something digital

For me it's that next level pen, the one that you choose based on how you've learned what you like and dislike, and what your usage case is. A pen that you've spent time researching, maybe even tried before you dive in yourself. Generally slightly more expensive and durable, or just more practical. For me it was a Lamy Aion

I have recently ordered a few pens one might consider, which I have seen referred to here, as "Big Boy Pens"  (perhaps better to say "Big Boy/Girl/Human Pens" since we aren't all boys). I'm just curious what qualifies a pen to have such a status in your opinion? Is it MSRP? Price paid? Brand? Type?

Big Boy/Girl/Human Pens-What qualifies in your opinion?

The TWSBI precision or Lamy Aion would likely be my default recommendations in that bucket for their build quality, ubiquity, and durability. The Platinum Procyon is a newer offering from Platinum, but you're definitely getting a daily driver if you go with that one as well.

I haven’t bought fountain pens in a while and am concerned about the authenticity of buying it from Amazon.

Where do you guys buy your pens?

The Aion in particular is fantastic bang for your buck in terms of a solid metal bodied pen. Also, in the event you were looking to try a non-2000 gold nib Lamy, the Lamy Studio Palladium option only costs about $200 CDN (~160 USD) for a solid studio pen body with the removable 14k two tone nib. Generally I find that it works out to buying a gold nib and getting the studio platform at half price.

My erratic collection in chronological order. I am envious of people who can stick to a pen and collect all colours.

Right now, it’s a Lamy Aion with EF nib and Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black. Perfect workhorse combo. I love the feedback from the Aion nib and you can never go wrong with Pelikan 4001 inks.
