I'm looking for minor improvements mostly (I can't really see a pathway to 10lb BPW without dropping big money on DCF gear) and making sure I have reasonable climate protection. Less weight would be nice, as I'd like to skip the onion valley resupply but I just don't know how my body will respond to that kind of altitude to do that kind of mileage. You cant call them because they have a permanent voicemail system that automatically comes on and they never called back. After my first experience, I opted for a "Fillo" by Nemo, instead of wadded up fleece I had tried. I also use a Therm-a-rest Basecamp pad (2" thick, regular size) - great combination (I'm in my 40's - sleeping on the straight on the ground not easy enough anymore). As far as value, you get what you pay for and I feel like I got a bag worthy of the price I paid. I am not a backpacker - I tent camp, so can't speak to using it for backpacking
