I'm looking for minor improvements mostly (I can't really see a pathway to 10lb BPW without dropping big money on DCF gear) and making sure I have reasonable climate protection. Less weight would be nice, as I'd like to skip the onion valley resupply but I just don't know how my body will respond to that kind of altitude to do that kind of mileage. I'm a fairly competent runner but at sea level. Thanks for the input!

Suggestions: bring some foil to use as a base, and consider adding a windscreen of some kind. One could ditch the carry sack and lighter to drop some weight, but the quality is outstanding.

That depends where the hip pain is at. If the hip pain is at the bottom of the sleeping side, you'll want a thicker but deflated pad. This is caused by the sleeping pad being too hard and deflating it will help. In the case that your hip feels cold after deflating, get a CCF or something soft and place it under your hip area

I love this stove, try it with the Back Packer Oven or just a stand alone stove. Close to the ground more stability then a stove perched atop a canister.

You cant call them because they have a permanent voicemail system that automatically comes on and they never called back. This is a great stove for the money. I bought it because I had read that Kovea was the manufacturer for some famous brand stoves so you could get the same high quality at a lower price by buying direct.

COMFORTABLE, Quiet, Lightweight, Packs down easily and compactly, easy enough with a bit of to inflate bit of practice, good insulating qualities (I've slept on it in the snow at 20 degrees F).

Above all other features having the ability to invert the canister when fuel vapor is to low to cook with (temp. and or fuel level) allows me to use it in colder conditions then normal and get maximum use from my can. The only caveat is that you should allow a few minutes of urn to heat the metal fuel feed before inverting to prevent / minimize flare-ups. But once you adjust flow it works perfect
