Considering you're describing a fairly light bag either should be fine. A sling pack that hugs your back well can be a little better balanced and easier on your body and nice for faster paces or going on a trail. It hugs your body and doesn't move around as much. I find a little cross body/mini messenger type a bit easier to get in and out of

 The two things I'd change are design flaws: 1) On the pocket in the largest compartment, the fabric and elastic started to separate and fray. Its not durable enough for repeat putting in and taking out of things. The other thing is the strap used to adjust the fit of the backpack when wearing it. There's no clasp or stop mechanism once you position it, so its completely come out of the strap holder at times, resulting in my somewhat flinging/dropping the backpack when I take it off

Questionable Quality & Non-Existent Warranty Support

 It is on top of sraps on back pf bag. + Most comfortable to wear. The best strap padding is on the Outdoor Master and KAKA sling. - No phone pouch

 My 9.7" iPad in a Finite case fits the same in all 3. My main beef with all of them is the fit of an 8 1/2" x 11" paper. You will need to fit paper in a letter size ( 9 3/8 x 11 3/8") pocket folder so the papers don't crimp

I really like the accessibility of the pockets in this backpack. Honestly, the main selling feature for me was the cell phone pocket on the strap. I was looking for something to store my phone but have easy reach to it and this is perfect, fits my iPhone max

I like that the strap is cushioned, and that it can be worn on the opposite side--I generally wore the phone pouch strap on front, slung over my right shoulder so the strap attached on my left side, which made the zipper easy to access. I also like the padded portion in the center that goes against your back. The second zipper (the one behind the slash zipper you can see in the picture when the bag is turned at an angle) worked out very well to put my small wallet, keys, and a couple pens, since there is a smallish pocket that holds them in place when you unzip this compartment. Later I noticed there is also a leash for your keys

I used this while traveling to Las Vegas for a trade show and was generally pleased, although I would love to see the manufacturer come out with a deluxe version that's about 1" wider, about an inch deeper, and with a thin, water-resistant lining, especially for the main compartment and for the phone pocket on the strap (preferably in a bright, contrasting color to make it easier to see the contents).

I plan to use it instead of a full-sized tech backpack for an upcoming trade show to tote around my Mac laptop, which measures 12.75 x 9 x 0.5 inches. It just barely fits in the sling bag, but I think it should work fine

 Just took it on an 11 mile hike with an elevation change of over 1500 ft. and it was comfortable (adjustable), stayed in place, was easy to swing around to the front to grab my water bottle and snacks, and felt cool and lightweight (barely knew it was there). I carried two 16oz water flasks (one in outside pocket, other inside large compartment), gloves, rain jacket,bandana, lots of snacks, sunglasses, camera, cell phone,extra socks ,tissue, hand sanitizer,and first aid kit.  Zippers work great and it has a lifetime guarantee if you go online and register your sling pack. The sellers/makers are two sisters who live far apart from each other and were looking for the perfect travel bag for walking around as a tourist. The mesh for the water bottle is thin but bit enough to hold a large water container or water bottle with a draw string tightener/ love that it wont fall out. You can wear it in front or back

 I use it mainly for commuting/biking to work during the week and light hiking on the weekend. The material is water resistant that keep my stuff dry in case it rains.

Unlike other sling bag I’ve tried before, this bag has just the right strap length and width, very well designed! The back of the pack has mesh padding which is breathable and helps make the bag more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable and can be switched to the either side using the D rings located at the bottom of either corner. It feels comfortable whether worn on the front, back, or cross body.

 Let's get into it. [music] [applause] [music] So I used this as a daily carry sling. I didn't use it as a packable sling on a trip because I haven't gone any trips recently, but I use this as a daily carry to throw my everyday items in. I use it a couple times in downtown Boston, but most of the Um testing phase, if you will, happened when I spent the entire day at the Museum of Science here in Boston

 But I think that overall the organization and the pockets on this sling are super super great. I also learned I've watched a lot of my old videos recently. I use words like super super great and really really good because I think my vocabulary has just disappeared in the almost two years I've done Youtube. Um, words are very hard

 This is the perfect travel companion sling. I have reviewed a bunch of slings and I think a lot of those are good for travel, but I think this is the best for travel. The price tag is around like 70 bucks I believe for this and it is really, really phenomenal for travel. Because the material is lightweight, it packs away

 is that, um, like that X-pack material, but a little bit lighter with some nice Ykk zippers with some nice beefy zipper pulls. That's what I like is that even though this is a small sling, the main compartment has a nice beefy zipper two of them to be exact, and even this front compartment which is a little bit covered by some material. Here at the front has a nice zipper pull and the zippers are nice. They didn't stick, I didn't have to break them in too much, but the materials on this bag are very minimal, but very, very well done

 The fact that it could hold a bigger water bottle is a bonus. In the end, while I liked it the size of the front pocket bothers me.

The bag is so well designed, that I got compliments on the look, and it was with me everywhere on my week long trip. The bag expanded enough for a water bottle, and when I didn't have one in, it fitted my DJI OM5, two phones, and a X100F, plus my wallets and hotel cards. 10/10 would recommend

 Like I said, so you can find it pretty easily the same as these zipper pulls here. and it's pretty long too, so your keys aren't They aren't stuck just in this corner. You know they can kind of spread out if you have other things in there, but we'll take these off just so you can see the inside a little bit better. And we've got two pockets here

 as as we talked about before, it opens very, very wide so you can fit a lot of stuff in there. As you can see right now, the it's pretty wide, but if I were to take the items that I currently have in there out which are you know, pretty big items, a pair of headphones, my wallet, a headband, and an emulator out and close it up again. It is much thinner so it kind of expands to what you have in there and it holds shape to what you have in there, but it doesn't look. I don't think it looks poor poorer when it's empty, but it does expand, which is nice if you have more items or if you don't have so many, it'll still look good and pecks up easy just like that

It is a Ykk number eight and it is a very you know kind of slowed down by the aqua guard but because you have things to grab onto you could open it pretty quickly and as you can see the design of this pack you know it opens very wide like you can really see everything that's in there and you can pack it full if you want to. But this zipper is designed very well and having two of them is also nice so you can go from either side to access whatever you want to access. The front zipper here is also as you can see a little shiny

 Really easy to see. It's like a nice clash of color with the, um, the black of the material of this pack. But then down here, this zipper pull. Maybe just so it doesn't you know stand out or anything like that

Bellroy Lite Sling Review (1 Month of Use)

This sling bag looks and feels like something you get for free in a promotion. feels cheap to the touch with very thing and noisy materials. The zippers got jammed when I tried to open it, and I was afraid to break it. This bag is not worth more than $19
