Our review unit's Core i9 HK-series CPU and GeForce RTX 3080 didn't perform as well as expected in our esports testing, which is hard to accept given this laptop's size. Its dim screen is perhaps the biggest letdown. The Asus ROG Zephyrus S17 and Alienware x17 are both better 17.3-inch options, and the 16-inch Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 6 can outrun them both

The Raider performed as well as it should have in the synthetic tests. Its real-world gaming scores are objectively good, too, but they're hard to differentiate from the Alienware's, and the Legion 7i's faster CPU and slightly higher-wattage GPU put it far out in front. The big MSI's 45-watt CPU likely limited its frame rates in Rainbow Six Siege at low settings, where I was hoping to make full use of its 360Hz display.

The GE76 Raider held its own in our Adobe Premiere Pro test, which tasks devices with exporting a 5-minute, 33-second 4K video. The Raider completed that task in one minute and 56 seconds.   So instead I return it, I tried to fix the problem myself, and when I opened the heat sink I found how the original phase change liquid as they call it was not even at all and part of the cpu wasn't covered at all which the main reason of the spikes you saw in the video. Check the image  So, if you bought one, and found this issue. Do not do the same mistake I did and immediately refund it.  The laptop when I got has 14k score on benchmark which below the average 16k, the older Gen was having higher score than mine

  So please do not do my mistkae and immediately refund the laptop if you have heat spikes.  Also, true color only works on win11 and mythic light doesn't work on this laptop  Edit: I've bought an alcohol spray, and cleaned up laptop board and then applied Arctic mx2 thermal paste, wow, it boot and now I can hit 90watt on cpu loading. I did void my warranty, but the laptop survived.  Again DO NOT DO MY MISTAKE, if your laptop throttle on 45watt on factory LM, return it, just return it

Right now I have the TUF DASH F15 with the RTX3060 but with linux installed its only giving me about 1h40min of battery time. Very disappointed with my purchase.

Wish it came with an 8-Core Processer. Other than that, this thing is great.  Runs newer games like "New World" on High settings getting 50 FPS in towns and 75 FPS in nature.  loving it!

I'm looking more for buying through Wal-Mart as I have access to a 10% discount there. I would love to see your suggestions!

Help me look for the right laptop!

Smooth plan and simple to open top. Great keyboard with fair travel, clicky input, and a discretionary RGB backlighting.

 The Armoury Crate app lets you enable iGPU mode, which switches to the onboard Iris Xe chip. It&rsquo;s not an automatic switchover as I'd prefer. Even so, the Asus was competitive with the others.

That said, the TUF Dash F15&rsquo;s gaming performance is only status quo with last-generation gaming notebooks since its GPU is constrained to a low power level; from what we are seeing in the early going, not all RTX 3070 notebooks are created equal. At least it runs relatively cool and quiet.

 The metal lid backing is another nice touch; it, too, is impressively rigid. The TUF logos that decorate the lid are showy and bold without being polarizing.&nbsp;

The app also lets you disable the buttonless touchpad, but anyone who does that is missing out. The pad's ample size, smooth surface, and communicative clicking action make using it a pleasure.
