Extremely Impressed! Great Every Day Carry knife

 It holds the knife securely in it and protects the blade well. It even includes a drain hole in the bottom to drain any moisture that may get caught inside. It has a hefty built in belt clip with a positive clamping feature that attaches it securely to your belt so losing it is not easy.  While my search for a nice hefty blade made from Elmax steel or M390 steel (also made by Bohler-Uddeholm) still goes on, I can say I did find a prefect little camping companion in this knife, and at this price I'll be ordering some more to have extras around the campsite

A big knife might seem like it's better but they are usually less practical when it comes to fine carving tasks and are heavy on your belt or in your bag. If you look at people who actually spend a lot of time in the bush most of them are carrying knives that have a blade length of between 4-7in and a hatchet for chopping wood. If you need to cut through dense brush you can get a Cold Steel machete for around $20 as well. If you already have a Mora Companion I'd say just try to save up some more money and look at knives in the $50-$100 range

Inexpensive bug out bag knife?

 I have batoned it through firewood with nary an issue. Just don’t try to use it as a crowbar.

 The blade is only about 1/8” thick. I’m glad! Thick, heavily built knives may look impressive, may be justified in some circumstances but they are tiring to use and to sharpen. Not so the Mora. That said, it seems plenty tough for any reasonable use

-The sheath is practical: easy to mount; highly weather-resistant (leather sheaths are attractive, but the Mora’s sheath won’t rot, or get soft in wet conditions and allow the blade to poke through and stab you); and it provides excellent retention, with a reassuring audible and tactile “click” when the blade is fully seated.

Simply Superb

Sheath knives are simple, generally sturdy, and a very large variety of shapes and lengths. Over many years I have found something inexpensive but well made like a Morakniv Companion handles most knife jobs except heavy duty work like prying and chopping. For something more stout a full tang knife of 4”-5” is very capable and still a handy size. You don’t need fancy steels

I see people post their knives on reddit and I don't know which one is better or why. I also never really used them other than here or there for random things.  Is there a good place to learn how to properly use them too whether its for SHTF or defense?

Where to learn about knives?

All of this in a knife that costs around $20? This may be one of the last true values in this world of ever higher prices. If you're on the fence, just go for it. You'll find yourself ordering more of them!
