 On this side you have where the power cable will plug in and the Usb cable right here. I have the power cable which I can go ahead and put in.  And here is the cat that was on the printer already and it looks like it's good print quality. I wouldn't know since I've never printed before. I didn't know these were hollow on the inside either, but that's what was already on the printer. But I want to go ahead and test whether or not this printer actually will work for us

Should you buy MonoPrice Cadet 3D Printer???

 Auto bed leveling is done via this inductive sensor and it's capable of wireless printing via their Wii builder - Slicer or mobile app on iOS and Android Unfortunately, I Couldn't get the cadet to talk to my wireless network at all so I couldn't test the wireless printing the app used to configure. It is not good. It feels like it's incomplete. almost like a software developer was programming really hard and got to 80% of where they needed to be

 The bed is not heated and it's only as warm as ambient temperature. This means ideally the Cadet is meant for PLA printing and their website confirms it.  When it was done, I had a little cartoony looking dragon.  The next step was to try downloading a model from thingiverse and sending it over the network to the printer. I downloaded the app to my phone and used it to set up the WiFi details on the printer. With the coronavirus epidemic in full swing, I decided to print some clips to be used for making your own face mask

 The printer is supposed to work with Cura (and it's available in the downloads section on the Monoprice website), but I could never get the software to connect to the printer over wifi. It doesn't see the printer on the network, and I can't even get it to recognize the printer when I point to its IP address. I've tried different versions of Cura as well, with no success. Luckily, WiiBuilder seems to do everything I need it to, so I don't really miss Cura

  Finally, there's the software. WiiBuilder has worked well for me but is rather poorly made, it feels old and clunky and is in dire need of some usability updates and some time in front of a UI expert. Excellent first 3D printer

 The Cadet's tiny print area limits the size of printed objects. I scaled one of our standard test objects, which combines geometric shapes and raised text, down to 60 percent of its normal size. To my surprise, except for a couple of rough spots, it printed well despite its miniaturization. Overall print quality for the Cadet was impressive considering the printer's low price

 A setup glitch, its minuscule build volume, and its awkward filament handling keep it from wresting our budget 3D printer Editors' Choice from the XYZprinting da Vinci Mini. Still, it's easy and safe to use and consistently produced objects of good print quality in our testing.

I printed a selection of our standard test objects as well as several files included with the printer. I'm looking for a printer under $500 but can stress a bit higher if it is worth it. I had my eye on the Phrozen sonic mini 4k for a long time but my friend bought one and it's been nothing but problems with it and customer service has not been good at all (as stated by him) with parts taking ages to ship over and various other problems with them. I have been waiting for another printer to be released that has the same or better PPI on a small resin printer but with a different company. Should I just wait for a few more months and hope a similiar machine comes out or pick up something like an Anycubic Photon Mono X with lower PPI?

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In June 2021

 So I decided to print these all with tune settings and make sure that we get the best results for them. Unfortunately, when I was removing them from the bed, some of the tails on a couple of these ripped off. But for the most part, the super high detail part, which is really the scales of this dragon print, and I'll link the file for this. This is basically a Dragon Ball Z, I'm probably going to butcher this name, Shinra, the dragon from Dragon Ball Z, and this was created by Kimbolt

 So, Frozen sent me this to review and basically get my feedback on. And for the most part, it hasn't been too bad of a machine. I will say that the Frozen Aqua Gray 4K resin that they sent with me, the first bottle seemed to have a separation issue, where the color was separating from the actual resin, so it wasn't really printing very well. So I had some issues with that, I don't think it was really a machine issue, because they sent me another bottle and everything seemed to be printing perfectly fine

 So that's pretty much what I base my prints off of normally because 90% of the people are going to just click Print and Go. And while that's not the best way to do things, that's usually the gold standard for everybody that's getting into 3D printing. They just want to print something right away. Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k review

 Hello everyone, it's Matt from Akuma Mods, back again with our review of the Frozen Sonic Mini 4K.

 I know it's been a while since I had this unit, it's probably been almost a month if not more.

 So my apologies for not getting back to you, but I've just been so busy with everything.

 So, yeah, without further ado, let's get into this.

 So, Frozen sent me this to review and basically get my feedback on.

 And for the most part, it hasn't been too bad of a machine.

 I will say that the Frozen Aqua Gray 4K resin that they sent with me,

 the first bottle seemed to have a separation issue, where the color was separating from the actual resin,

 So I had some issues with that, I don't think it was really a machine issue,

 because they sent me another bottle and everything seemed to be printing perfectly fine.

 And I didn't have any issues from then on.

 Also, switching to different style resins seemed to be perfectly fine, I didn't have any issues with that.

 So, really the biggest thing about this is, you know, the 4K.

 Is it truly that much of a big difference when it comes to printing?

 And in my personal experience, you know, it's minimalistic at best.

 And I say that because, well, I have three prints here,

 and I'm sorry because my camera doesn't really focus very well or get into the light,

 but I can share these photos if you guys want me to.

 But basically, we have three different resin prints.
