-I know the Kaban 2.0 was released. Is it any good? Is spade tight in that bag or are the improvements actually good? 

I figure I have to up the size a bit to between 24L and 28L to keep the bag in the daily carry realm.

My current bag, the Moment MTW 21L was just big enough to fit everything I needed when I was only rocking my personal 14 inch laptop but now I can't seem to fit everything I need. I also want a little more room to put a small lunch container with sandwich or some salad. 

) My Evergoods CAP2 pouch uses heartier zippers. That uses 8. On a pouch. A 2L pouch uses heartier zippers than this 21L backpack made for carrying laptops, tablets, and cameras - not cheap stuff by any means

 Way too small for the main compartment and laptop area. I’d prefer at least an 8 on those, especially with the materials of the bag. They’re stiff and coated, and it makes it harder to open and close the larger areas. (It’s particularly difficult to open and close the laptop area with its aqua guard coated zippers

Very nice pack... except for the zippers

 So that's a really nice quick adjustment system and if you don't want to use it they're behind some little gussets here, so it keeps it a nice clean. Look the rails aren't like sticking out or anything but uh yeah, just something we haven't seen too much of before, and it's just a cool little feature there. That makes the sternum strap really quick and easy to adjust uh and then just on top. Here we have your kind of standard folded over nylon handle here um, you know, if you just need to hang it up anywhere, nothing crazy going on there

 Just so it stands a little more straight up and down as you're carrying it, and then let's go into some pockets here so right now we have the camera cube or the the camera insert. I should say - and the tech pouch in here so it's kind of fully packed out, especially with the camera cube. So if you put packing cubes and stuff in here instead of that camera insert sorry keep saying cube, it's an insert. This front pocket becomes very flat

 Okay, so the main compartment opens up kind of like half horseshoe here. So, as you can see, the zipper stops where the water bottle pocket starts, but on the other side it unzips all the way. So with the camera insert in here, this is kind of a cool little feature. Um, there's these little elastic loops here that you can put these clips through, as you can see like that, one was kind of starting to fall off a little bit um, which we've had a couple times

 It is, you know, reinforced with some extra stitching, and you know it's got. The diagonal sewing points here. Just so it stands a little more straight up and down as you're carrying it, and then let's go into some pockets here so right now we have the camera cube or the the camera insert. I should say - and the tech pouch in here so it's kind of fully packed out, especially with the camera cube

 Um, it is a nice little pouch that is slightly above the bottom of the pack so you know you're not. You're not going to drop your bag on the ground. The frame sheet will kind of give you a nice um, bumper there so you know you got to set it down at work before you take your laptop out. It's not going to crack the laptop, so we've got that there on the inside here

 So um, it's kind of just been my jam. Uh, so jumping on in. Um, one of the reasons that I like it is in the back side here. You know we've got room for a 15 inch Macbook pro

 uh anything like that that would be super rad To kind of like help keep the bag up on slick floors because some offices have that you may not have a place to hang your bag in the office or anything like that. So super rad if they could do that. but it's super comfortable. It's a great bag

And as a personal item on flights for the same reason. I have a Tom Bihn aeronaut 30 for my main carry on, but if I have a chance to train on a trip I need something that will fit under the seat that will fit my gear and travel items (neck pillow, water bottles, books, etc. ), and also not be a backpack. I wish that defy made something similar to the Evo in terms of size and shape

I’m looking for a bag that comes close to maxing out the personal item size for flights, with a comfortable strap and the option of a stabilizing strap. Laptop/tablet size isn’t a big issue, as I don’t use one now and if I do in the future I’ll buy one that fits the bag. 


I’m looking at x-pac as the material, and I’m really digging both the full size Insidious and the Evo.


I know that COB has 20% off for Black Friday. Does anyone know if Defy does a BF sale?


And any advice on one bag over the other? I’m looking mostly for comfort and size, with organization second, and not too worried about aesthetics as I like both of these options.

BF Sales and COB Evo or Defy Insidious?

 There is one thing that I can say that I dislike about this bag and it’s the straps. The straps don’t have any pads so they tend to dig into my shoulders when my bag gets heavy and the way you have to adjust the straps is something that I don’t really care for. The bag can fit my 13in MacBook Pro with no problems. The color as shown in the photo is what you receive

 The bag itself is big enough to fit all of my books, but I don’t use any binders instead I use a combination of folders and notebooks. When the bag arrived it was in perfect condition. School Use

Wonderful quality but small size and uncomfortable straps! I just got the "regular" size thinking it would work for a school bag but it barely fits my binder, it just has an awkward tight fit. I'm thinking about giving this one to my kids and ordering the large size that's available. I was also disappointed that the straps are painfully uncomfortable, they are thin, very durable but very thin (width wise). These thin straps make it uncomfortable on my shoulders, so now I will have to buy the shoulder pads seperate

Could be better

I saw all the great reviews and its p in my school, so I decided to buy one myself. Pros: -Color is great and large variety for colors -Thin straps, but very durable -Surprisingly fits a lot, though objects can't be too tall or wide -Cute  Cons: -Straps are not adjustable. If buttoned at the top: too tight, unbuttoned: kind of too low but after a while, easily adaptable and feels sort of right. -Threads coming out around zipper area, possibly catching on  I got this at a very good sale price, and I've noticed that the prices for different colors vary a lot, so it'll be good to keep an eye on that

Strong Bag

I have been carrying this bag as my daily commuter bag for just over a month and I love it. It fits my lunch box, glass water bottle, insulated coffee mug, phone, makeup bag, and extra odds and ends easily. I love that the bag is lightweight so that I feel as though I'm carrying only the weight of my things - not a heavy bag, too. My only gripe (which is not serious enough to affect my rating) is the lack of organizational options
