-I know the Kaban 2.0 was released. Is it any good? Is spade tight in that bag or are the improvements actually good? 

I figure I have to up the size a bit to between 24L and 28L to keep the bag in the daily carry realm.

My current bag, the Moment MTW 21L was just big enough to fit everything I needed when I was only rocking my personal 14 inch laptop but now I can't seem to fit everything I need. I also want a little more room to put a small lunch container with sandwich or some salad. 

) My Evergoods CAP2 pouch uses heartier zippers. That uses 8. On a pouch. A 2L pouch uses heartier zippers than this 21L backpack made for carrying laptops, tablets, and cameras - not cheap stuff by any means

 Way too small for the main compartment and laptop area. I’d prefer at least an 8 on those, especially with the materials of the bag. They’re stiff and coated, and it makes it harder to open and close the larger areas. (It’s particularly difficult to open and close the laptop area with its aqua guard coated zippers

Very nice pack... except for the zippers

 So that's a really nice quick adjustment system and if you don't want to use it they're behind some little gussets here, so it keeps it a nice clean. Look the rails aren't like sticking out or anything but uh yeah, just something we haven't seen too much of before, and it's just a cool little feature there. That makes the sternum strap really quick and easy to adjust uh and then just on top. Here we have your kind of standard folded over nylon handle here um, you know, if you just need to hang it up anywhere, nothing crazy going on there

 Just so it stands a little more straight up and down as you're carrying it, and then let's go into some pockets here so right now we have the camera cube or the the camera insert. I should say - and the tech pouch in here so it's kind of fully packed out, especially with the camera cube. So if you put packing cubes and stuff in here instead of that camera insert sorry keep saying cube, it's an insert. This front pocket becomes very flat

 Okay, so the main compartment opens up kind of like half horseshoe here. So, as you can see, the zipper stops where the water bottle pocket starts, but on the other side it unzips all the way. So with the camera insert in here, this is kind of a cool little feature. Um, there's these little elastic loops here that you can put these clips through, as you can see like that, one was kind of starting to fall off a little bit um, which we've had a couple times

 It is, you know, reinforced with some extra stitching, and you know it's got. The diagonal sewing points here. Just so it stands a little more straight up and down as you're carrying it, and then let's go into some pockets here so right now we have the camera cube or the the camera insert. I should say - and the tech pouch in here so it's kind of fully packed out, especially with the camera cube

 Um, it is a nice little pouch that is slightly above the bottom of the pack so you know you're not. You're not going to drop your bag on the ground. The frame sheet will kind of give you a nice um, bumper there so you know you got to set it down at work before you take your laptop out. It's not going to crack the laptop, so we've got that there on the inside here

 So um, it's kind of just been my jam. Uh, so jumping on in. Um, one of the reasons that I like it is in the back side here. You know we've got room for a 15 inch Macbook pro

 uh anything like that that would be super rad To kind of like help keep the bag up on slick floors because some offices have that you may not have a place to hang your bag in the office or anything like that. So super rad if they could do that. but it's super comfortable. It's a great bag

 Um, stuff like that. But uh, now that I'm in my new space and everything, I decided I'm going to kind of kind of try and class these up a little bit and go with some bigger reviews on bags. Things that I use a lot more in depth and stuff. So let's jump in

 The only organization is via an (included) laptop sleeve, however it is fairly bulky and adds unnecessary weight. In addition, even holding just my keys + sunglasses+ badge, the outside mini pocket would jut out and look bad. The pack width adjustment straps are poorly designed and only add to the jutting out effect if you have literally anything in the outside pocket. Would probably make an okay daypack, however as a commuting pack it does not get the job done nearly as well as other options

 It's actually very well padded here and it's got this kind of microfiber lining on the back. Here is where we have our laptop compartment which also has a Juror Flex buckle just to secure your gear. This is my 13 inch MacBook Now this compartment can fit up to a 15 inch laptop and as you can see, there's heaps of space for a 15-inch laptop there. you can clip that shirt and keep the alert top secure

 The third and last compartment is the biggest compartment and here is where you're going to be putting most of your bigger items: your laptop, your tablet, tech pouch, things like that inside the main cavity. I Just have my pick Design Tech pouch here and then I Also have a little notebook inside the padded tablet sleeve here. It's actually very well padded here and it's got this kind of microfiber lining on the back. Here is where we have our laptop compartment which also has a Juror Flex buckle just to secure your gear

 This is my 13 inch MacBook Now this compartment can fit up to a 15 inch laptop and as you can see, there's heaps of space for a 15-inch laptop there. you can clip that shirt and keep the alert top secure. As well as I mentioned earlier, this bag can also accommodate a hydration bladder. So in this compartment where you would put your laptop if you're taking this back for a hike, maybe you can put inside a hydration bladder instead and simply port the hydration tube through this little hole here which goes to the back of the bag and then feed your hydration tube through one of these accessory loops and then you have easy access to water

 you also have the option of tightening up your strap slack with this elastic webbing here, so all of this can be tidied up with that elastic webbing if you have it fully compressed like this. As an added bonus, if you have a taller or bigger item inside your water bottle pocket say for instance, it's a taller water bottle or it's a thermos or a yoga mat. Whatever it is, you can actually use the compression strap to help stabilize that load in your pack, so there's a little tip fee. One of them is hidden behind this little slit

A Great Mid-Sized Bag - The Patagonia Refugio Backpack

I'm six feet tall, it didn't fit my frame. The cross-chest strap, for instance, which can be easily adjusted in a range of slots along the shoulder straps, was far too high to be used. The shoulder straps were thin and the padded portion short. I think the accommodation of a hydration bag gave me the impression that this pack would be okay for a long and somewhat rigorous day hike, but it wasn't

Beautiful, but somewhat flimsy and too short.

 However, now they've also included this removable laptop sleeve. It's uh, they call it their caddy, which is meant to have not only the laptop, but also, uh, some organization for other tech items that you might want to have with you. So it has this sort of mesh zippered compartment, which is meant to replace the organizational compartment that used to be on the Refugio. They had a larger kind of admin area on the front

 This reminds me of the top quick access pockets that I've loved on bags from companies such as Mystery Ranch or Air. So something you can reach down when the bag is next to you and you're sitting down. you can grab it easily and this also offers a pretty decent amount of volume if you have bulkier accessories or pouches that you want to get to chargers. Maybe some headphones might be able to squeeze in here depending on the model, so I really like the flexibility that's offered there

 This sleeve is meant to hold up to a 15 or 16 inch laptop, especially on the 30 liter version of the bag. I believe you can use that taller device, but at least 15 inches will work comfortably in both bags, but the design of the two sleeves is slightly different. Not a huge difference, but you have more organization on the sleeve that's provided with the 30 liter bag, so on the 26 liter, it just have one mesh zipper compartment. On the 30 liter sleeve, you have a few slip pockets on the top, mesh slip pockets that are going to give you some extra organization for dongles for cables, maybe for your airpods, and then you again have the mesh zipper compartment, which may be a good spot to hold your laptop, charger, your mouse

 Not much difference between the two compartments. I would say that the flap on the 30 liter version goes down maybe a little bit further than the 26 liter size, which makes sense as it's a deeper bag. It's slightly taller, so you know you might want to have that extra bit of opening to be able to get down to the bottom of the bag easier. But you know, just simple compartments overall that are going to be able to handle pretty much anything that you throw at them and then the last area that we're going to be taking a look at is the laptop compartment
