 This is the Moleskin Hardcover Classic Dotted notebook. This notebook has 240 pages of acid free kind of like an ivory colored paper and it is a five by eight and one fourth inch size, so a little bit shorter or skinnier rather than a standard A5 notebook like I have here. so you can just see it's a little bit skinnier. When you see a notebook that looks like this, the black leatherette cover and the elastic kind of rounded corners, you probably are thinking moleskin

 I don't really have any complaints with what I'm seeing here. It looks pretty good. Yeah, so now in terms of the binding is not bad. It folds, it stays pretty flat

 Let's try to go more towards like one side here and see how that does. Yep, stays flat. You can see the stitching here also. I would say this notebook has quite a few signatures in it

 whatever. Right up about the notebook. Oh, and this might be the sticker. A quality control sticker

Recently, I've moved to a job where the details matter, and I want to look more professional. That means the notebooks should look nice (sorry Composition notebooks) and the pens should be better (you've been great Bic's). That's why I decided to try the Moleskine notebook.  It's a prime-looking notebook with paper that ghosts pretty fiercely with a Pilot V5

 I almost didn't want to taint the pages with ink in fear that I would write something stupid and it would be forever ruined with my unfortunate word choice. Once I finally worked up the courage to write something down, it was absolutely amazing. I'm a fan of liquid pens and gel pens because the way they feel on paper is marvelous to me but I often run into the problem of these lovely pens bleeding through the paper or not drying quick enough before the next line causing smears to happen. That was not the case with this paper

 I recently decided that I would like something nicer as I'm starting to take my writing a step further, I thought, "Why not reward yourself with a notebook you can be proud to show off and one that wont have pages falling out and ink bleeding through after a few too many late night writing sessions?"  I was thoroughly impressed with the speed of the package arrival and then became even more impressed once I opened the package. The cover is so nice and the texture of it feels amazing. I don't know about everyone else that buys these but I'm a texture junkie. I like for my stuff to feel nice in my hands and this felt amazing

  I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a nicer notebook than the cheap ones you can get at any regular store. Yes, you are paying considerably more but if you have the extra money and, again, you want something nicer, this is definitely not a bad route to go. I look forward to getting more of these after I fill this one up.

These notebooks are perfect for my needs.

 The problem with the competitors' notebooks, for me, is that the "higher quality" 80g or 90g paper many of them use tends to mean I have to wait forever for my ink to dry. And try as I might, I'm just not comfortable with that. From Rhodia to Leuchtturm, I had this problem with them all. I couldn't find a quality paper that would actually absorb the ink quickly enough for me to continue writing as fast as I wanted to, over to the next page

 I mean a hardbound notebook of a convenient size (the Moleskine "large" is perfect in my opinion at about 5x8 -- it's small enough to throw in my purse, yet not annoyingly tiny.) I mean a notebook with an inner pocket so I can store odds and ends. I mean it has a ribbon marker so I can find my place easily, and an elastic band closure so the pages don't get messed up when I'm traveling around. I mean it lies flat when it's open so I can write easily

 Any of these will produce bleed-through to the other side of the page, which, like all of you I'm sure, I abhor.  BUT.  I mean it's durable as hell no matter how much I throw it around, and has acid-free, archival quality paper.  This type of notebook is incredibly functional for journaling. It's not overly fussy, and it actually lasts a lot better over the years than some of those "fancy" ones I've used in the past. I have leather-bound journals I used in college 10 years ago that I thought were a quality investment

 I haven’t poked a hole in a page so far!  The unboxing experience of this notebook was honestly really great. The label paper that describes the product is re-usable, the backside of it allows you to write down places you’ve traveled, the mode of transportation, experiences, and more.   The craftsmanship of this notebook makes you feel like an adventurer, business person, and professional writer all-in-one. It seems to be a pleather material, not quite leather, but I’m no expert.   Most of my writing is pretty temporary; to-do lists, phone numbers, or scribbling nonsense just testing a new pen or ink.  The Mnemosyne line has been much more practical for me; I love that I can have high quality paper that's easy to rip out without destroying the notebook lol.

Current state of the Mnemosyne collection. I don't have a problem, I can quit whenever I want...

  If you are using this book with Sharpie Markers or anything like that, I wouldn't suggest it but for an average user, I'd say it would be a good start before shelling out twice as much for a bigger brand name.

Perfect Little Bujo Find!

Great value for money, fantastic paper, more feedback than rhodia, Clairefontaine, tomoe River or apica (all of those are pretty smooth). So if those papers are too "slippery" for you, midori MD is the paper to go for. Also, they lay open flat, you have good shading, zero feathering or bleedthrough.
