Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 vs Garmin Fenix 6 Pro

After a while though, the battery life got so bad that after about 8 hours, not even enough time for me to make it back to my house, it dropped below 30% and switched to battery saver mode. So, I was on the lookout for a new watch and had heard about the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS and how it used the new Snapdragon 4100 processor. When it came on sale on Prime day, I just had to have it. Yeah. They already confirmed the TicWatch 3 Pro WILL WITHOUT NO DOUBT receive the update to the new Wear OS.

I'm hoping the software issues can be improved with newer firmware, which would really enhance the usability.

I used an Asus Zenwatch 2 and got as a present a fitbit Inspire 2. I liked the functionality of the Wear OS and when I started to use the fitbit I liked the monitoring of health and sleep functions. Need to say that the inspire 2 works very well in the sleep tracking, the step count and heart rate monitor. Since this watch have all the functions plus the oxygen monitor and the best performance of the battery not only because of the capacity of the battery but the use of the dual display this looks the right option

Can other watches do these things? Probably… but so far I’m enjoying the improved life. I highly recommend a fitness watch generally speaking.

I no longer consider this feature a differentiator. Like so many people today, I have multiple devices that track my activities - Garmin and Wahoo bike computers, this type of integrated usage tracking and application integration is a must. Had it worked, I would have kept the Instinct 2. As mentioned, if you want a gps enabled fitness watch, and don’t care about the shortcomings I’ve mentioned, either of these would work, but I think the real value is the Instinct 2. As it stands, both of these watches left me wondering, “Why not just purchase a handheld Garmin GPS with an inherently larger screen for times when I need Garmin gps features? Or why not buy an Apple Watch for the premier smart watch experience and add the Workoutdoors app to it? Ultimately I put All Trails on my phone, and a regular watch on my wrist.

I’ve seen stories about sensors failing after a shower and where direct streams of water can over pressurize the IP68 rating. I am an avid fisher and boater; I will have to worry about accidental water exposure, and I am hesitant to trust the “pool swimming suitable” rating from Mobvoi. I do not want to brick a $300 watch. This is the reason why I can top up the device as needed while showering, 15 minutes of charging seems to increase the battery by about 10%

Friends, there is still not one scratch on it. Nothing can break it. Everything is still perfect. I am tempted to run over it with my car to see if that would even do anything (although I won't)

I use it for weather, walk tracking, and Hangouts messages and texts (until that's killed off in January anyway). \+ Handles notifications well.

I recently had an Apple Watch for a few years, a Garmin Instinct prior to that. This watch blows them away. The notifications are so clear and easy to read. I actually like the lack of touch screen personally

It looks great. It has many nice features. I'd recommend the company steal Amazfit's power scheme, this watch can and should get a week or two between charges. Giving an option to make Google Fit the single source of truth across all displays on the watch would also be a good thing, especially since it is a Google Wear OS watch and many buying it are getting it for that exact reason

These watches do not have touch screen. The case: the image looks like the bezel is black but it's actually a mat silver and looks better (I think). I'm not a fan of the painted black bezels because they tend to scuff and scrape and look really bad. The silver isn't pronounced and looks more high-end to me

Its comfortable to wear and I'm normally not a fan of things on my wrist. It doesn't always track my sleep, but i also charge it at night as i use it in full mode where you get about a day and a half of battery.. so i charge it nightly so i have the next day
