 It really needs the rotating brush to aid the suction to pick up dirt.  If you have mostly low pile carpet or rugs this will do the job. Or if you want quickly walk around and pick up dust bunnies or vacuum upholstery or baseboards, it's very convenient.  The pros are: Other Miele attachments fit

I get nowhere near the advertised 1h battery life. The suction is ok when you use the rotating brush attachment. But the caster wheels on that attachment make it clunky to use on hard surfaces like hardwood floors. I have a canister Miele vacuum and the hard wood attachment from that fits this vacuum, but then the suction alone isn't enough
