The Miele Dynamic U1 PowerLine is a corded upright vacuum with impressive build quality. It delivers superb cleaning performance on bare floors and does a great job of picking up various kinds of debris on both low and high-pile carpet. It's extremely simple to maintain, with an intuitive design that makes it easy to take apart and reassemble. Excellent upright vacuums that are far better than Dyson that few know about are Sebo and Riccar. Those machines clean like **crazy**, and last a LONG time. A Sebo Felix cleans both carpet and hard surfaces (interchangeable base), and I know folks who still use theirs after 15+ years like-new.

It'll probably go down to $100-130 over Black Friday as well. Unlike the Shark, this one's also got a height adjustment (something that should be standard on a vacuum) so you can get optimal brushroll contact and good agitation of embedded dirt.

It's a lot harder to spend this kind of money when you can get one for $200- $300, but when I get something that works as well as this, I forget about the price after a while.

Your U1's also gonna be good for cleaning the cyclones every so often since they will hold onto a bit of dust every time you empty it. Like another commenter suggested, a second set of washable filters is a good idea to eliminate the downtime caused by a monthly filter washing.

I've only owned my Sebo Felix for about two weeks but it is so much better than any vacuum I've ever owned I can't say enough about it. I had a tough time deciding between the Miele Salsa, Sebo X5, and Sebo Felix but I ended up going with the Sebo over Miele becuase the filters are so much less expansive. Sebo's air filtration may not be as good as Miele, but it is very, very good overall. My house smells/tastes cleaner after vacuuming now; funny I know, but my previous vacuum apparently put a fair amount of dust back into the air

Looking to step up my vacuum game from my Eufy Homevac S11. I have a 1500sf single level house with hardwood floors and area rugs. I also have two medium shedding dogs and a cat.

Sebo Felix ROCKS compared to a canister vacuum. It literally cuts vacuuming time in half because I'm not navigating the canister around corners and furniture, the cord is SUPER long, and the combo rug/floor head is truly dual use. This is because of the amazing suction.

The carpet in my apartment is relatively flat/worn (think standard bedroom carpet, but less plushy, nor berber), so I assumed using it on 1 was ok. Should this be set to 2 or 3 instead to help prevent the issue for the type of carpet I have? Also, should I have the vacuum serviced as a result of the dust and debris that clogged the filter? I am concerned that the brand new motor is at risk as a result of what happened.

I apparently had made a horrible mistake in purchasing this vacuum. Pulled the bag out and checked everything. Pulled the filter in the bottom of the canister.
