Power

Disappointing performance for the high price

- Electrobrush attachment easily damages the cord. While I know you should obviously avoid vacuuming over the power cord, accidents do happen (especially because the electrobrush attachment is heavy and hard to lift over the cord while vacuuming), and it did an alarming amount of damage to the power cord the one and only time I accidentally vacuumed over it. - Bad exhaust placement: the exhaust vent is placed on the canister just above the power button and selection dial, meaning that you have to lean over the exhaust to turn the vacuum on/off or change the cleaning mode. It is really unpleasant to get a huge gust of warm air in your face/arm/leg when trying to adjust the vacuum settings or turn it off

Vacuum sucks, but doesn't blow

You may need to remove (cut out) the protective cover on the blower port to gain volume of air.

Pricing gets a bit finnicky, as there is as much cheap good stuff as there is expensive crap. (Example: my favorite cheapo vacuums, the 1st gen Dirt Devil Breezes, almost always sold for $50-60 during their prime. On the opposite side, pretty much everything by Dyson after 2010 is overpriced and under par.)

To that point - things you might want: 1) HEPA filter. The same HEPA filter that fits on the "Pet" version of this vac fits this one. They're the same basic unit. It snaps over the exhaust

While it's basically a matter of personal preference between the two brands for most people, the Miele's do edge out the SEBO models on filtration when equipped with the HEPA exhaust filter. I think I'd look at the Miele Compact C2 Electro first in your case, but it'd be worth it to check the features of the other vacuums I listed as well in case anything stands out.

Suction

Suction is great the rest is frustrating

We are used to uprights and this is not as easy to get around the floor. The canister does roll easily, just not as easy to deal with as an upright. Unless you start at a corner of the room, you are doomed to roll over a cord or have to push it back, again over the cord. Overall, I love the suction of the vacuum, but not worth the frustration
