Suction

Not overly impressed

We’ve had over a year and while nothing has had to be replaced, it doesn’t seem to like Rottweiler hair. There’s always hair still on the floors (LVP and tile). It has good suction when you feel it but it just seem to get all the hair and tends to just push it away no matter what setting I choose. For reference, I do have multiple kids and multiple dogs though

Do upright cordless vacuums have enough power yet?

Personally I think you would be much better off with a corded vacuum still especially that size house. Getting something like a SEBO E3 or D4 or a Miele c3 would suit your needs far better from what you described. Cleaning Performance

This is a GREAT vacuum, but I can’t recommend it...

‘Filter cone’. This is a coarse pre-filter which, if it clogs, will definitely cut down the suction power of the vac. Accessing it requires removing the main dust receptacle, then pulling a handle which releases the filter cone, which lives in the dustbin. After vacuuming my house one time (one medium-sized dog on premises), this ‘filter cone’ was wrapped with dog hair and definitely needed cleaning

First home vacuum recommendations!

Since your total budget is around $1000 you can buy a sebo e3 or a miele c3, or a sebo felix. These are all BIFL machines that have very good cleaning ability and filtration. They’ll all preform well on both carpet and hard flooring as the floor nozzle can be switch out.

Not sure it is worth the money

I was used to the power button on my Kenmore which was on the handle. Super convenient for turning on and off during jobs. Not this one. It’s on the canister

Ease Of Use

Miele C3 Kona canister $899-999, Sebo E3 canister $999, and Sebo Felix upright $649-699. All of these are strong performing and well built durable vacuums that can do hard floors and almost any type of carpeting because all 3 have electric powered heads that you attach when cleaning carpet. I'd say the Sebo Felix is pretty easy to live with it's an upright and just goes where you point it.

It is quiet, it moves effortlessly, it is very light for a corded machine. The design is very artistic making it lovely to look at when stored somewhere. It is bagless. This has to be the greatest consumer vacuum on the market

Sebo D4 vs Miele complete c3 HomeCare+ powerline

The E3 SEBO and Miele C3 are designed to follow and move with you as if you had an electrical cord behind you. The maneuverability is better on those canisters.

Filtration

If you have allergies, buy this vacuum.

No dust comes out of the Miele's exhaust. The canister opens more than 90 degrees, and the opening is large, so emptying is not a mess. The extra dust filter makes a huge difference. if you didn't know, it has a fine dust filter that contains the smaller dust particles and can be emptied wet so it doesn't become airborne

What's superior: S or HEPA filtration?

I have just a regular dust allergy and I find the S-Class filters to be very good so I would go with a Sebo E3 because I like the design improvements of the E Series over the K Series. Hope that helps.
