Midland WR400 vs Wingspan

I also have a handheld Midland weather radio but have that for when we travel and I wanted the stationary radio with the longer antenna for better reception indoors. It picks up the broadcast just fine and also has an AM/FM radio and four presets which I guess is a nice touch although I don't listen to the radio for music. All in all, for the price, I think it is a good quality piece of equipment and it is nice looking and I am happy with my purchase.

The illustrations and information text about them all is also wonderful, the eggs are the cutest little components ever and giving you a dice tower to roll the dice that looks like a birdhouse is beyond smart and clever. The finish on the cards and rule book itself is fantastic and makes for a great looking game. This is actually probably one of the games we've played the most of ever, we've gifted this game to family members and other friends on three separate occasions so we are teaching it and playing it often. Which by the way it is very easy to teach and have brand new players easily competing for winning scores even on their first game

So, in the absence of being able to register a ZERO for a rating, here goes (apologies for the vitriol in advance): I bought the Midland WR400 weather (WX) radio in July 2020 after our 1st Midland WX radio just quit alerting when NOAA issued severe WX alerts. Have had it one year now and, apart from the initial annoying defect of a volume button that was VERY touchy/sensitive (which I just put up with, but should've return it)..
