Be very careful in buying this Unit. I have already had an Error Code (EC 54) Refrigerant leak and the seller and Midea company are No help in remediation after contacting. The units electrical cord is very short, make sure you measure from the A/C to the Outlet before installing or taken out of the box or purchased. Using an extension cord can void the Warrantee

this one is a double edged sword (covered in CONS as well). While the traditional really loud hum from a non inverter AC compressor is absent, and a lot of the loud fan noise is absent, there is a much more pronounced high pitched whine on the outside portion(covered in CONS.) As far as noise level, it sounds like it’s working to cool the room/like a traditional AC unit - loudish. The energy bill definitely went up from its use, primarily during the weeks of August with heat waves in them (there were a few). My next portable AC will definitely be a higher output.
