The Enter key is SO soft and mushy and I've noticed many of the keys, like the pair of Space bars, are also soft and don't register contact multiple times. VERY frustrating as I can type around 50 wpm and I'm having to Backspace WAY too much! GRR!. I want to send this POS back and try another brand, but I've found no other alternatives in my searches.

 It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students. Having 2 classes in row will mean you're looking to sit near a plug in class to keep it charged. You can dim the screen down but that's not always possible when you're in a bright classroom

 My old model, with a card slot, I routinely swapped out cards depending on my usage. I was hoping the battery life was some improved. It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students

Good but with some disappointments.

We did not open the shrink wrap as there was no indication of a keyboard. Be aware of false depictions of keyboard included even in the video. Otherwise, the product should be ok if you want a tablet, not a PC.

 As a result, the system feels faster than other chromebooks. A trio of 1080p video streams ran smoothly while I used a half-dozen other tabs to view websites, check email, and stream music, and so on. A 4K video (displayed at 1080p) played alone only occasionally paused for buffering.

 Compared with other chromebooks, the Chromebook Flip has premium styling and construction, 4GB of memory, plenty of expandable storage, an attractive full HD screen, a 2-in-1 convertible form factor, and accidental damage protection&mdash;all for a bump of $100 to 200. It can give you the entire Internet, including desktop sites and plug-ins that don't work or display too small on your Android or iOS phone or tablet.  I watched a 2 hour movie on a flight yesterday (no wifi, no bluetooth, screen 80% bright), and those 2 hours took the C302 down to about 30% battery (from full). The stock video player misses audio on a lot of movies, and using the VLC app (android) is super buggy (frequently freezes and shuts down). It's increasingly disappointing to see the much-hyped Play Access is still nonexistent. I'm still loving the *idea* of what the C302 is supposed to be, but the execution is feeling more and more of a miss

 It's rare to use a Chrome OS laptop that genuinely feels fast, well-built, and worth more than the $300 asking price that most Chromebooks cost. But if all those companies are going to succeed at this, it can't be rare anymore, it has to be standard.

The C302 does a better job at nailing most of the physical aspects of a good laptop than other devices you'll find in this price range. It's got a thin aluminum body (just over half an inch thick), and weighs just over two and a half pounds.

Google, for its part, is working feverishly to make the Android app on Chrome OS viable (they're not ready yet). Asus, for its part, produced the excellent machine I'm reviewing right now. It's rare to use a Chrome OS laptop that genuinely feels fast, well-built, and worth more than the $300 asking price that most Chromebooks cost.  The wide touchpad is also responsive and supports multitouch commands, but it's not as good as the touchpad gestures on my MacBook. To control the keyboard backlighting, you simply press the Alt key and the brightness control keys at the top of the keyboard that normally control the screen.
