 I still needed to do my Vitamin C routine, so I did that. And yeah, this is what my skin looks like right now in morning. Day seven: my skin seems significantly less red than the night before, so I'm really happy for that. Um, the Vitamin C is really doing its work by brightening and evening out my redness

 So this is the eighth morning and it's my last day of doing the Vitamin C challenge and this is my final results. I definitely see that my skin is definitely looking better than before, especially one side of the face. It's definitely less hyper pigmented and I know it One week is not going to do much, but it is working because I see a little difference and I'll continue using this product because I really like it and hopefully we see some good results by like the three month mark you.

 All right. So I'm just gonna top it off with moisturizer and call it a night tonight. Guys, this is Day five in the Morning update and this is what my skin looks like. Without anything on today, I really see a difference in my skin

 Yeah, so I'm just gonna go in with four or five drops. As usual, I'm just gonna pat that in to my skin. I noticed that people have been experiencing a lot of like masking which is like inflammation and growing. You know, acne under a mask from using the mask for too long

 I’m also in the uk and got a vichy vitamin c serum from boots which was much cheaper and I thought did a good job of lightening some of my darker spots ! Just looked it up and it says 15% vitamin c. Both the skinceuticals one and the Vichy one have quite a sticky texture which I don’t really like but I have seen results. People love melano cc vitamin c which I also tried.

So far I am liking it, my skin is feeling soft and more even toned and brighter, but going to wait until I’ve used the whole bottle to decide whether It’s worth the price tag.. Best vitamin c serum to buy? [product question]

For those with leftover red marks from acne (PIH): Melano CC Essence. The packaging keeps the vitamin C stable for a long time, unlike traditional dropper style packaging from other brands. It’s gentle and feels oily initially, but after two minutes it feels like you didn’t even put anything on your face. Results aren’t instant, but after a month of daily AM use my acne marks had considerably faded

Care to share your beauty products, makeup, skincare, tips you can always trust in and swear by

 Overall, it’s a nice refreshing mist. I don’t regret purchasing it even though there’s cheaper facial mists out there.

Rant, Raves, and Mini Reviews May 2021

It's so affordable and one tube lasts forever. The packaging is great for everyday use and travel. Everything I've used from Rohto has been so good on my skin. Melano cc essence, shirojyun, even the hadalabo face wash - they're all gentle and kind to my skin

1 week difference with Melano CC daily. It's subtle but my hyperpigmentation usually takes months to fade, so this is huge to me. Skin type: dry, acne prone, south asian so very hyperpigmentation prone.

Not only is Pyunkang Yul extremely gentle on our skin, but it also does a great job picking up dirt and leftover makeup that face wash missed. It is also absorbed into our skin immediately, with no stickiness and no dry time needed before applying a moisturizer, sunscreen, or primer layer. We are really impressed at how quickly this facial toner worked, softening the skin immediately after application. It made our skin silky smooth and balanced tone and moisture so well that we didn't feel the need to apply morning moisturizer when using it. In our testing, we observed that redness went down significantly with Pyunkang Yul, and even stayed minimized for a few days after we stopped using it. We had zero oiliness or dryness issues with this toner, indicating that it would be a good choice for just about any skin type.  
We were a little skeptical about testing the Pyunkang Yul facial toner upon opening the bottle. Despite being marketed as fragrance-free, this Korean product has a distinctive herbal scent &#40;from our quick perusal of the ingredient list, the scent is probably due to its plant root extract base&#41;. But it's so effective, and you need so little of the toner to do the job, that the smell likely won't be an issue. Like Klairs, the other K-beauty toner we tested, Pyunkang Yul contains no essential oils, which can irritate some people's skin. Also like Klairs, it is more of a viscous gel-like solution, so it's necessary to shake or squeeze the toner out of the bottle—but that slight inconvenience is offset by the fact that only a couple of drops are needed to cover the entire face and neck. We could see the smell being a turn-off for some, but overall we recommend Pyunkang Yul facial toner for anyone looking to minimize pores, even out their skin tone, and balance moisture.

I like this! This has a strong herbally smell, don’t let that scare you away though because it’s actually quite pleasant – sort of like a spa. I went through a full sized container in the past and this is excellent. I think this is better at removing make up than the Missha and also doesn’t leave a residue. But I prefer the Missha one because of the pump and ease of the use, and I think it’s more economical too

Here’s my most recent Jolse order! I have a pretty set routine and products that I stick to because I live in constant fear of breakouts (LOL), which is why you’ll see so many repurchases. If I purchase new products, I only use 1 at a time to make sure it agrees with my skin and won’t start anything new for at least a few weeks.

 The formula is light, emulsifies easily, and doesn’t leave a residue after washing off (I’m looking at you Inkey list…)

Not from Jolse, I picked this one up at Sephora. This is just an ok product for me. It’s a thick gel formula that sets on your skin in about 10 minutes. It does feel like a layer of product which is why its supposed to be used as a sleeping mask, but it’s in no way greasy or uncomfortable

 I use on my body, hair, I'd bathe in this if I could. I prefer watery skins/toners, gives me better hydration personally, this is perfect. Huge bottle, economical.

ROUTINE MEGATHREAD! August 2021

So what I love for bad days is The Face Shop Herb Day Lip and Eye Remover Tissues (wipes, I just use for my whole face because it's gentle and easy to feel clean without a lot of scrubbing), Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner, and Manyo Bifida Complex Ampoule. I'll follow-up with a moisturizer and lip balm if I feel up to it. I'll just grab what I need and bring them to the couch and go through the mini-routine while watching tv wrapped up in a blanket.

<div class="md">Hi there AB lovelies. I&#39;m interested in hearing from you on how you take care of yourself when you&#39;re not feeling the greatest. I&#39;m hoping we can share information (product recommendations, application methods, and more!) and compile some great ideas we can bookmark for when we&#39;re not feeling our best. 

I suffer from chronic migraines and this (paired with my prescribed medication) tends to make my body flush and run hot. When I&#39;m feeling crummy, here are a couple products and rituals I use to soothe the pain:

<li>If i&#39;m up for it, a shower with the La&#39;Dor Tea Tree Scalp Clinic Hair Pack with a good scalp massage. I tend to reach for products that have a cooling, mentholated effect when I&#39;m feeling crummy and this one really helps. There&#39;s something really lovely about lukewarm water on my scalp and then feeling this cooling, tingly sensation on my pounding head. I&#39;ve purchased this through Jolse and SokoGlam. </li>
<li>If I&#39;m in bed, I keep my jade roller in a bowl of ice on my bedside table. This keeps it really cold and feels heavenly on my forehead/face. </li>
<li>Similarly, I&#39;ll use my gut sha tool on my neck and shoulders if I&#39;m experiencing tightness here that could trigger a headache. </li>
<li>Refrigerated toner and sheet masks are also incredibly soothing and relaxing for me. Sometimes though, I won&#39;t want to even mess with a sheet mask, so I&#39;ll use a sleeping pack in a soothing scent to try and help me relax. I love the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask for this. I will note that depending on the severity of my migraine, sometimes using scented products can make things worse, so in that case, I&#39;ll use unscented products instead. The CosRX sleeping masks (both Honey and Rice) are great for this. </li>
<li>Post Migraine body aches: Yumeguri Hot Spring Bath Powders. I&#39;m obsessed with these. They come in several scents that come in the box, but I think the scent fades rather quickly. Taking a bath after I&#39;m starting to feel better is a great way to come back into my body and pamper myself after I&#39;ve been feeling bad. </li>
</ul>

Beauty Routines and Rituals For When You're Sick

I have the Pyunkyang Yul Essence Toner and have seen rave reviews of it here but found it quite unremarkable.

Soon Jung Toner followed by the emulsion from the same line, Cosrx Propolis Energy toner (mmmwah), I'm from Mugwort Essence.

Purchased this to meet free shipping on my Stylvana and I have been loving it. It has a felt tip and stays on throughout the day (I have super oily hooded lids!). 

I don’t remember how this came into my radar but I do remember reading a review on how this helps with redness. I purchased it off eBay immediately and I’m almost through my first tube and its only been 3 months. I use right after hydrating toner and moisturizer which acts like an occlusive. I like that its on the thicker side so it almost feels like a thin protective mask
