I am so happy to finally stop using makeup wipes. I used them for years and now at the age of 28 I’m terrified of wrinkles. I watch a lot of YouTube skincare videos and one of them had suggested this (I tend to trust this YouTuber for most skincare) so I purchased it. I did try a few oil cleansers and hated both the smell and how they broke me out after so I was nervous

I’m also in the uk and got a vichy vitamin c serum from boots which was much cheaper and I thought did a good job of lightening some of my darker spots ! Just looked it up and it says 15% vitamin c. Both the skinceuticals one and the Vichy one have quite a sticky texture which I don’t really like but I have seen results. People love melano cc vitamin c which I also tried.

I personally do not have super sensitive skin but this balm did cause some texture to my cheek area and some breakout pimples on my face. I do not struggle with acne normally so I stopped using this product and my face cleared up. I gave it 4 stars because it does work well, my skin just doesn’t agree with it.

For those with leftover red marks from acne (PIH): Melano CC Essence. The packaging keeps the vitamin C stable for a long time, unlike traditional dropper style packaging from other brands. It’s gentle and feels oily initially, but after two minutes it feels like you didn’t even put anything on your face. Results aren’t instant, but after a month of daily AM use my acne marks had considerably faded

EDIT: After using this cleanser for a while I noticed that I was getting small regular breakouts all over my face and I started getting a lot of congestion/large visible pores around my forehead. I tried to identify alternative reasons for this (diet, supplements, stress, etc.) and paired down my skincare routine to see if anything was irritating my skin. Funnily enough, as soon as I stopped using this cleanser the issues slowly went away

Overall, it’s a nice refreshing mist. I don’t regret purchasing it even though there’s cheaper facial mists out there.

This cleanser always makes my skin feel hydrated after I wash my face, and I also love how it has no scent. All of this at such an affordable price point, yes please! (US$7.50 in my country).
