 I still needed to do my Vitamin C routine, so I did that. And yeah, this is what my skin looks like right now in morning. Day seven: my skin seems significantly less red than the night before, so I'm really happy for that. Um, the Vitamin C is really doing its work by brightening and evening out my redness

 So this is the eighth morning and it's my last day of doing the Vitamin C challenge and this is my final results. I definitely see that my skin is definitely looking better than before, especially one side of the face. It's definitely less hyper pigmented and I know it One week is not going to do much, but it is working because I see a little difference and I'll continue using this product because I really like it and hopefully we see some good results by like the three month mark you.

 All right. So I'm just gonna top it off with moisturizer and call it a night tonight. Guys, this is Day five in the Morning update and this is what my skin looks like. Without anything on today, I really see a difference in my skin

 Yeah, so I'm just gonna go in with four or five drops. As usual, I'm just gonna pat that in to my skin. I noticed that people have been experiencing a lot of like masking which is like inflammation and growing. You know, acne under a mask from using the mask for too long

 I’m also in the uk and got a vichy vitamin c serum from boots which was much cheaper and I thought did a good job of lightening some of my darker spots ! Just looked it up and it says 15% vitamin c. Both the skinceuticals one and the Vichy one have quite a sticky texture which I don’t really like but I have seen results. People love melano cc vitamin c which I also tried.

So far I am liking it, my skin is feeling soft and more even toned and brighter, but going to wait until I’ve used the whole bottle to decide whether It’s worth the price tag.. For those with leftover red marks from acne (PIH): Melano CC Essence. The packaging keeps the vitamin C stable for a long time, unlike traditional dropper style packaging from other brands. It’s gentle and feels oily initially, but after two minutes it feels like you didn’t even put anything on your face. Results aren’t instant, but after a month of daily AM use my acne marks had considerably faded

AM: **CeraVe SA smoothing cleanser**,  **Cerave Moisturiser for dry skin**, and generous amount sunscreen from **la Roche Posay 50+ anthelios ultra resist**. 

I use **Effaclar lotion astringent** twice a week or when I'm feeling oily or have noticeably more blackheads for PM only.  The lotion have a very strong stinging alcohol smell. 

Skin type: Oily dry combination skin. I occasionally get bad hormonal acne. I wear makeup 3-4 times a week.

For the Salicylic acid cleanser...I have yet to see any big changes but my blackheads haven't been as noticeable as before

 I'm now on my second bottle of this. I use this once a day in my own routine, but you can use it twice a day just depending on your goals and your skin type and what other products you have in your routine. Now, the whole premise of this product is really all about the salicylic acid. Everything is built around that as the main ingredient

 I'm going to link some of my favorite face sunscreens below so you can check those out. So yeah, this cleanser is just so nice. It's so elegant to use and best of all, it is super affordable right now. I think it's priced right around ten dollars

 so I really appreciate that about this particular product. However, just because it's gentle and enjoyable to use does not mean that it lacks efficacy, right? So exfoliation doesn't have to be painful to be effective. Remember that? Okay, so then you're just going to rinse it off, pat dry, and you can already feel a nice smooth surface to the skin and just a few short uses of this. So the first couple of times I used this, I noticed a little bit of uptick in redness on my cheeks, but I am a little bit more rosacea prone, a little more sensitive skin than just a normal skin type person, so that might just be unique to my particular skin

P.S. I've heard laser hair removal can sometimes be helpful? (But can also potentially make the hyperpigmentation worse??)

Most recommendations on KP, I feel like address removing the hard keratin plugs, but I'm hoping for advice on this 'flatter' type of KP? I definitely get some juicy bumps still (which I can't resist squeezing), but most I find is pretty flat and just discolored. At first, I thought this hyperpigmentation was because of all my picking and resulting scarring, but it's definitely more than that. 

My current regimen for KP is using a toner in the mornings then Amlactin (though I personally hate how it smells and feels so I'm definitely not super regular on this). At night, I use CeraVe SA Cleanser in the shower with an exfoliating towel, finishing off with more CeraVe Rough & Bumpy Cream, and if I have energy also top it off with some CeraVe in a tub. All of this has helped with keratin plugs, but I see no improvement in the discoloration. Please help, open to any and all advice!!

I have combination skin prone to breakouts and blackheads even though I'm pushing 40, plus hyperpigmentation and redness issues.

[Selfie] Depression is a real bitch when it comes to self-care, and my skincare is always hardest hit, but I've finally made progress against my all-or-none thinking and realized that missing yesterday's routine doesn't mean there's no point in doing it today. Here's to small victories!

Am I ready to move onto a more in depth routine and what would you recommend specifically for the texture? I am 24 btw :)

So at this point, I think it's been a year or so of this same routine in hopes of repairing my skin barrier before buying anything drastic but it never occurred to me to ask if these steps were already too drastic to begin with 🤔
