It holds a LOT! It was comfortable on my back; the straps are well padded. I liked that I could also carry it on my carry on suitcase using the strap (on the backpack) that fit over the handle of the carry on suitcase; it was a bit snug getting it to fit over the handle, but it securely held the backpack on top of my Travel Pro carry on suitcase. It seems sturdy and held up well for what I need it for.

Of course, one of the main reasons I bought it was I needed a backpack that could take a beating week in and week out and the reviews and Maxpedition's reputation let me know I was getting a quality product. If I had to quibble, my right shoulder strap is starting to show a bit of wear near the friction adaptor. It's staring to feel a bit roug, like it might fray. This may be normal, but it seems

So an excellent bargain bag, and I love that it has that dock on it, but I think it's faster not to use it, at least when topping off my laptop; for mobile devices, it's perfect between classes. I put it on the table in front of me or the chair next to me, and I don't get to take out the pack to charge my phone, for instance. But yet again, if you want to drop kick or throw your excellent expensive tablet or laptop, get a damn shock-resistant setup, not this thing.

The compartments are perfect for storing and organizing SO MUCH STUFF! I also prefer using a backpack rather than pulling a small piece of luggage with wheels. This is especially true when I have the larger luggage to be checked, but still in the coming and going one is stuck with the nuisance of rolling both small and large pieces of luggage and it can be problematic. However, using a backpack avoids that problem and it is comfortable to wear because the weight inside is distributed in the all the different compartments.
