  I took off two stars because at this price I expect far better fit and finish. There are gaps in the handle pins and a few places where the handle is perfectly flush the tang. Additionally, the choil has some sharp edges that I can probably smooth down myself with some sandpaper, but at this price, I shouldn't have to.

Great blade but mediocre fit and finish

 On one side it is sharpened at a 9 degree vertical angle and on the other it is sharpened at 21 degrees. If you sharpen it with standard knife sharpeners which usually sharpen at either 15 or 20 degrees on each side you will be altering the blade's cutting angles. This will still work, but eventually you will lose the compound bevel. The other alternative is to sharpen it by hand on a stone to the correct angles

 The Handle is very comfortable to hold, especially for people with larger hands. But If you have a smaller hand, then this handle might be too big and not comfortable. chef knife called Victorinox Fibrox.

Before we start with the review I want to
go over some disclosures this knife has been

Now with the disclosures away let's start
with the review.

The knife is made from stainless steel with
a Rockwell of 56.

This means that the knife core material is
soft and has lesser edge retention than knives

It is easy to sharpen and easy to get the
sharpness back with a honing rod.

The handle is made from a plastic material
with a great grippy texture.

The handle is very comfortable to hold especially
for people with larger hands.

But if you have a smaller hand then this handle
might be too big and not comfortable.

The knife balance point is in front of the
curved indent.

The recommended griping style is the pinch
grip at the curved indent for the optimal

The thumb grip and the fingertip grip is not
recommended despite having enough knuckle

The handle and the knife design is best suitable
for the pinch grip to get the optimal comfort

The knife is slightly front heavy but this
is barely noticeable since the blade is surprisingly

light at 167 grams for a western designed
chef knife.

the spine has a nice distal taper which is
also noticeable during use on certain food.

The spine and the heel are nicely polished
with no sharp edges.

The knife itself is also very sturdy and there
is no flex during use.

The knife profile is very good and is similar
to a Wusthof or Zwilling.

It has a flat spot at the heel and a curved
front that is great for rocking.

The only downside of the knife is the part
where the handle meets the blade.

It will catch dirt over time and is harder
to clean once the seal wears off.

I have used a lot of Victorinox paring knives
that have the same problems despite the harder

The knife is not the best looking but it performs
great, especially if you are going to use

The maintenance is very low and sharpening
is easy on this knife.

If you are someone that leaves knives in the
sink for a while before washing then this

It is not something I advise but you can throw
it in a drawer or dishwasher and the knife

will perform just like new after a quick honing.

It is great for home cooks and chefs at a
restaurant that don't want to spend a lot

This knife is a great beater knife however
if you have smaller hands then this knife

might not be the most comfortable for you.
