Has a really smooth finish to it, feels fancy writing on it with a nice pen (G2 pilots for me). I used this in place of planner when I was in school  Product is 10/10 but bonus points for how it affects how you feel. Made me feel more put together and professional, has a luxurious appeal to it at an affordable price

My favorite notebooks

 The size is perfectly between an A4 and A5 so you get a bit more room to write on the backside of the page before your hand starts resting on the spirals, which was my primary issue with A4-sized notebooks. As previously mentioned, the paper is very FP-friendly, but be aware that some particularly wet inks may take an extra bit to dry. - Hobonichi Techno - This would be the perfect notebook for me if it wasn't for the size of the grid. I didn't realize before I ordered :(

So my search is for a simple but elegant black leather cover and dot grid foutainpen friendly-ish paper preferably without a hardcover of its own because it would make it to bulky.

I'm looking for a simple black leather notebook cover and dot grid inserts. I've had anything from Leuchtturm 1917 to Rhodia goalbooks to a Travelers notebook and Filofax and they all have their downsides for me.

I want to start off by saying that after hours of research and comparisons, the Rhodes Goal Book is hands down the best choice for bullet journaling. The paper is perfect, the amount of space is perfect, the flexibility of the cover is perfect, and the durability is perfect. I ordered the product and it came damaged which happens but when I ordered a replacement, it was sent out, said it was delivered and when I got home, there was no package to be found.

I like a lot of things about this - the color, how the soft cover feels, the calendar section in the beginning. However, I think in the future I'll probably go back to the leuchtturm1917 only because it's difficult to write on the left hand pages due to the soft cover. That's my only issue with this. Otherwise I really like it
