Has a really smooth finish to it, feels fancy writing on it with a nice pen (G2 pilots for me). I used this in place of planner when I was in school  Product is 10/10 but bonus points for how it affects how you feel. Made me feel more put together and professional, has a luxurious appeal to it at an affordable price

My favorite notebooks

 The size is perfectly between an A4 and A5 so you get a bit more room to write on the backside of the page before your hand starts resting on the spirals, which was my primary issue with A4-sized notebooks. As previously mentioned, the paper is very FP-friendly, but be aware that some particularly wet inks may take an extra bit to dry.   Most of my writing is pretty temporary; to-do lists, phone numbers, or scribbling nonsense just testing a new pen or ink.  The Mnemosyne line has been much more practical for me; I love that I can have high quality paper that's easy to rip out without destroying the notebook lol.

Current state of the Mnemosyne collection. I don't have a problem, I can quit whenever I want...

  If you are using this book with Sharpie Markers or anything like that, I wouldn't suggest it but for an average user, I'd say it would be a good start before shelling out twice as much for a bigger brand name.

Great value for money, fantastic paper, more feedback than rhodia, Clairefontaine, tomoe River or apica (all of those are pretty smooth). So if those papers are too "slippery" for you, midori MD is the paper to go for. Also, they lay open flat, you have good shading, zero feathering or bleedthrough.
